375 ml green bottle, paper wrapped. Kindly shared by abemorsten. ABV is 8.0%. Hazy orange to reddish colour, large white head. Aroma of cherry sauce and cooked rice. Flavour of cherry sauce, almond essence and rice. A quaint lttle beer, designed to go with the traditional Danish Christmas dessert, nice enough to drink, but hardly my first choice for daily indulgence.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2015 Color: pour red beer with small white head and small carbonation. Smell: fruity, cherry, grapefruit, and vanilla. Taste: no taste of malt, cherry, sweet and vanilla. Aftertaste: small wet bitterness and vanilla

from Erzbierschof - hazy red-orange beer under a choaticfoam left; sticky nose with notes of candi sugar, apples, vanilla and strawberry marmalade; very sweet and quite full-bodied; no bitterness and a long juicy, spicy and fruity finish with lingering notes of vanilla and candi sugar - original

Bottle. Reddish brown beer with a strong head. The aroma is fruity with some mild bitterness, and the flavour is fruity with some fairly deep bitterness and malty'ness. Overall a nice fruity beer with plenty of sugary malts offset with good bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

375 ml bottle purchased at Westmere Beverage Center (Albany, New York) on September 18, 2012. Red brown, little head. Weak aroma of cherries sour, a little sugar maltiness. Taste sour cherry juice, a little dry with dry leaf. Not really sour at all, but it is flate, a shame!

mcmisko (362) - New York, USA - JAN 31, 2013
Pours a hazy dark pink, little white foam head. Smells nutty and fruity. Taste has a solid malt back bone with some fruit sweetness and nut. It is quite balanced for a fruit beer, and pleasant. Med bodied. Alcohol hidden. clean after taste

A - Hazy copper-brown with a finger of frothy off-white head. Fades fairly slowly. S - Sweet caramel malts, cherries, almonds, and some bready malts. T - Sweet caramel and biscuity malts, cherries with a touch of sourness, almonds, some residual sugars. M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth with a sweet, warming finish. D - Nice fruit beer. Good overall balance and mouthfeel.

On tap at Mission Dolores. Pours hazy light red with white head. Aromas of cherries, light tartness, and some sweetness. Flavor was sweet with cherries, a light amount of tartness, and a bit of a nutty note. Light mouthfeel. Interesting.

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2015 On tap at Hopnosis 2012. Know mention of what vintage this is, but I have to presume it’s the most recent one. Mostly clear dark red color. Minimal white head. Little lace. Only a medium body, on the light side for 8%. Light smooth carbonation, very drinkable. Almost like a fruit juice, but a but with some fantastic subtle spices as well. Cherry, cranberry, little nutty. Interesting fruit beer, but it’s still just a little too fruity sweet for me, personally. 6/3/6/4/12

Update rate 8/19/15: Sample from a bottle that was found behind the bar open at Ei8ht Ball. Nice almond present, along with the cherry. Hazy amber with a thin off-white head. Leaves some decent bits of lace. Moderate sweet, very light bitter. Solid christmas cherry nutty ale, with a mild belgian nuance. It is what it is, and it works.

Maltainen Riekko. 375 ml, bottled. Pours cloudy red with a beige head. Aroma: Cherry, raspberry, bread, vanilla. Rice. Taste: Sweet, mild bitterness. Palate: Medium body, some carbonation. Ok.
