330 ml bottle. Poured into a stemmed tulip glass. Pours a clear grapefruit pink color with a huge frothy head. Cherry and malt aroma evident upon pour. Palate is watery and and fizzy. Strong cherry taste but not overbearingy sour. Really nice lightly sour ale.

Tap @ Taphouse, Copenhagen. Hazy dark cherry colored with white head. Nose has sweet fruits, cherry and sour notes. Sweet fruity taste with cherry on the front palate and apples to finish. Really tasty. Tasted 071114

Tap at Mikkeller Bangkok. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin white head and a little broken lace. The aroma is light yeast, light cherry. The flavour is herby, light sweet, light sour with a light tart acidic cherry palate. Light bodied with average carbonation. Light and fruity. Nice and refreshing but won’t win many prizes.

on tap at Mikkeller Bangkok. Thick creamy off white head. Hazy amber pour. Slight cherry aftertaste. Decent

Bottle. Thanks Vestergaard. Pours reddish brown amber with a thick fizzy white head. Aromas og sweet and slightly tart cherries along with some sweet almonds, vanilla and slightly pilsner-like malts. Taste is some tart cherries up front, malts, caramel, vanilla and some lacto.

33 cl bottle. Pours murky, reddish brown amber with a big, bubbly, long lasting, white to pink head. Aroma has lots of sweet, almondy rice and milk notes, slight malty as well, but not much fruit. Taste is much more fruity though, but also with some smooth lacto sweetness. Slight sour, dark cherries. Ends off pretty malty and with a dry bitterness. Medium high carbonation, and a fairly fresh body, compared to both the 8% abv and the addition of lactose. Not bad!

Super-satisfying - beautiful fruity sour taste - a lick of bitterness - low malt impact - a revelation to this IPA drinker!

Bue à la pression. Nez fruité, palais surprenant sur le gâteau, le lait et le sucre. Ensemble trop sweet pour moi.

Pours red/copper with a thick pinkish-tan head and ample carbonation. Subtle aromas of cherry and apples with no hops present. Tastes bready and nutty followed by dry, tart cherry and finishes clean with only a slight bitterness. It’s crisp bready/malty character somewhat offsets the tart cherry. This is a nice cherry ale that is good on its own, but better because it invokes memories of a ris a la mande dessert. It’s not as complex as I’ve grown to expect from Mikkeller, but if the goal is to give tribute to the traditional Danish desert, then they have been successful.

Tap at C4. Pours a cloudy reddish brown with with a small head. Aromas of cherry, almonds. Taste is not as tart as I thought it would be, can taste the cherry and the almonds give it a slightly creamy texture. Interesting beer.
