Bottled. Drank this beer at our companys christmas party. Dark and very hoppy. Wonderfull chocolate maly flavour. Really stays in you mouth. lachesis (757) - St Idesbald, BELGIUM - MAR 9, 2006
Very deep brown colored beer with a tar like browness and a stabille brown^beige head. Aroma is very hoppish and spiced. It has impressions of caramelized onions, wild flowers, BQQ residue of meat on a grill, faint touch of bitter orange peel and coffee. The taste is rich and medium dry. It has a good ballace between the bitter, the malts, the alcohol and the dry fruityness. This beer is stout build with a citrussy freshness untherneeth. Spices are well integrated and the bitters gives loads of refreshment. Afthertaste is burned bitterish, dry hoppy, slight citrussy and bitter spiced, bitter orangepeel, cloves and nutmegg.

Nutty coloured brown beer, creamy beige brown foam. Nose is nutty, soft malty, spices and caramel along with a fine hoppyness. Taste is soft sweet and complex bitter. beer with a nice spicyness, a good sweet balans and a fine kick of flowery hops. A nice winter warmer. Thanks Lachesis for introducing this nice range of Mikkeller brewery beers. yespr (45441) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JAN 6, 2010
50 cL bottle, huge thanks to Ungstrup! Pours dark brown with a huge chocolate brown head. Dark spiced cardemomme aroma, dark roasted malty nose. Smooth roasted, dark malty and nicely spiced. Bitter, slight acidic and smooth roasted in a nice blend. Bitter and roasted finish with a lovely integrated note of cinnamon, ginger, cardemomme and cloves. Smooth far finish with a light citric note. I wonder if the citric notes are what is left from the orange peel. Spices are really wellintegrated in this wonderful 4 year old brew. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 11, 2010

Chriso rock the roof down pre-GBBF tasting. Amber colour, very close to black, with small off-white head. Aroma is spices, liquorice, some fruits, wood and mild alcohol. Flavour is quite much the same, a very mellow and wellaged beer.
Bottled. Dark brown coloured. Very nice aroma of Swedish julmust. Big malty and sweet flavour with loads of glögg spices. The finish is very bitter, partially from the sharp spiciness and partially from the obviously big amount of hops used. It is dry and lingering. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Very good. "Message in a bottle" came to mind only had the "message" changed to "Christmas". Heavily spiced and full of little elves! Didn’t find any old stockings in this though, which should be taken as a compliment. Ho ho ho and a happy New Year! lululegrand (94) - gent, BELGIUM - APR 2, 2006
Hazy dark brown beer with creamy beige head. Aroma is malty, stuffed fruity with salty accents, has hints of caramelized malts and flowery hops. Taste is complex, fruity, woody very sweet, spicey and end with a well ballanced bitterness of hops and fresh chesnuts. At Carlo’s Mikkeller tasting. Finn (7547) - Tromsø, NORWAY - NOV 9, 2006
Bottle 0,5l. Aroma of spice - and pine. A brownish head - disappearing in a couple of minutes. Dark brown coloured. Very rich flavour with sourish spices dominating. A long dry bitter finish with spicy undertones. Thanks to Rune for this Christmas gift (almost one year ago). This beer is in the same league as Nøgne-Ø’s Underlig Jul: All the Christmas smells and tastes in one bottle.
