750 mL bottle. Lightly hazy golden. Smells great. Lots of wine, grapefruit, pear fruitiness. Tastes of grapefruit, wine takes over. Oak and wine barrel character. Back end is yeasty and Belgian. 750mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out citric dry hopping and farmhouse saison yeast. Flavour brings out a very soapy, floral hoppiness upfront, followed by saison yeast, and a dry herbal character. Not anywhere near the greatness of Nelson Sauvignon, but it’s still decent. Hazy with a light tan. There isn’t a whole lot of head. You get a touch of plastic on the nose, but some nice blueberry and bright pear. Has a nice body - dry finish, touch of sweetness, a good blueberry and pear flavour profile. That it is dry really makes me happy, because it smelled like it might be too sweet. Nope. It’s good. (On tap at Mikkeller SD) Pours a clear golden-yellow color with a white head. Aroma of white grapes, Sauvignon Blanc, woody phenols, tart green apple, sweet toasted cracker, floral Belgian yeast esters. Flavors were predominantly a fairly tart Sauvignon Blanc, with lots of esters, wood phenols, cracker/biscuit, and a gentle bitterness. Nicely full-bodied with a very dry finish. Well-carbonated. You could say that it blurs the line between wine and beer. Pretty amazing!
