Draught at Lord Nelson. Almost black - brown edges. High burned, high licorice, red berries, raisins, light sourness, dry burned, light light smokey notes, light wineous. Big smooth mouthfeeling. Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 12, 2007
Black colored, little brown head. Strong aroma with roastiness, excellent vanilla-sweetness and coffee with some vinous tones also here, convenient alcohol fits here well. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is strongly sweet with roastiness and bubblegummy caramel, some toffee and spices are also obvious here with licorice. Flavor is overly sweet for me, aroma is excellent. Yeast comes up in still sweet aftertaste. rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 12, 2007
Druahgt at Plan B, Copenhagen. Dark amber color, lasting brown head. Yeasty, malty, vinous aroma with chocolate and cocoa. Malty, spicy vinous flavor, vanilla notes, sweet fruits, and actually with some sourish notes. Christian (13670) - Odense, DENMARK - NOV 12, 2007
Very, very dark red-brown with a big and lasting light brown head. Big aroma: Some dark malt/toffee/coffee/chocolate. Some cherry/plum/figs. A touch of alcohol.
Flavour is full of fruit, especially cherry, rather sweet but with that dark malt to balance it. Alcohol shines through and adds port notes. There is a long roast malt and chocolate aftertaste. Very promising for cellaring. thewolf (12602) - Kolding, DENMARK - NOV 7, 2007
Tap @ Lord Nelson, Cph. Pours a deep red-brown that I practically can’t see through. Small beige film head. Aroma is kinda roasted, cherries, light chocolate, toffee and cloves. Oily mouthfeel. Flavour is yeasty complex. Chocolate sweetness dominates along with some dried fruityness, primarily raisins, cherries and plums (all rather ripe). Stucks to my teeth. Vinious with a slight sharpness. Aftertaste has light roasted caramel and delicate spices. Aroma is perhaps a bit underwhelming. This might be better next year, but it’s still nice. (where did you say we had 11 %, btw?)

Draught at Ølbaren. Dark brown with medieum off white head. Sweet aroma that has overripe fruits, coffee and toffee. Flavor is sweet with dark fruits, toffee and spices. Do I get some sourness here? Good balance with warming alcohol in the end. Very nice. Hildigöltur (5104) - København, DENMARK - NOV 6, 2007
Draught at Ølbaren. Very dark brown coloured with a nice light brown head. Aroma of prunes, raisins dried apricots. caramel and some coffee. Very sweet flavour full of dried fruits and some spices. Medium to full bodied. The alcohol is well hidden. hickey (32) - Georgia, USA - NOV 4, 2007
On draft at the Lord Nelson. Fantastic beer overall. Slightly sweet with a taste that will remind you of christmas. the alcohol content is well balanced and does not come across as being 11%. Spicy notes with some fruityness makes for a pleasurable beer. Thick, rich head combined with a viscous, dark body completed the beer. Defreni (3227) - Husum, DENMARK - NOV 4, 2007
Fad. Dejlig julebryg. Sød mørk og stærk. Simpelthen perfekt til en kold vinteraften eller en god flæskesteg. Adenila (1560) - DENMARK - NOV 3, 2007
UPDATED: NOV 4, 2007 Draught at Ølbaren
Dark brown look with a nice thick foamy light brown head. Very intense aroma! One of the best vinouse notes i’ve sniffed, very nice. Also has a good chunck of dark fruits, that mixes with the high amount of alchohol and brown sugar. Flavor is mainly sweet, intense dark fruit notes and subdued roasted bitterness. Will definetly recommend this one.
