75 cL bottle. Pours dark brown/black with dense mild chocolate brown head. Orange fruity and chocolate malty aroma. Flavour is sweet and citric towards a light acidic note. Delicate chocolate malt base with fruity hops on top and a solid fruity flavour from berries and oranges. Ends with a mild chocolate and berry flavour lingering into the finish. [Another century celebrated with a Mikkeller beer - this time 9500] Bottled. An almost black beer, but with a red shine under a thick dark brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of chocolate, spices, yeast, and some berries. The flavor is sweet and very powerful and complex, the first thing that hits is yeast, pine, and spices, but then notes of chocolate, prunes, brown sugar, and over ripe fruits builds up, leading to a somewhat dry woody finish where notes of over ripe fruit and some of the spices lingers for a long while. This is a sipping beer - preferably in front of a fireplace - too bad I don’t have one. joergen (29216) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 7, 2007
Dark brown coloured with a huge beige head.
The aroma is dominated by dried fruits with notes of fruits, liquorice and spices.
Flavour of dried fruits, caramel, fruits, liquorice and spices with notes of alcohol and hops.
Hoppy and warming alcoholic finish..
Well balanced, but the dried fruits are a bit too dominating. anders37 (27062) - Malmö, SWEDEN - NOV 26, 2007

Bottled (thanks to whoever sent/gave this to me, lost track...). Very deep brown colour, close to black, mediumsized brown head, nice lace. Aroma is some sour fruits, mild roastiness, spiced, yeast and mild notes of raisins, plum and some nuttyness. Flavour is quite much the same along with some red berries and mild notes of vanilla. Aftertaste is chocolateish and a bit nutty with some spicy hints. Big beer and surprisingly full of everything. Hides the alcohol very well too. Slightly Imperial Stout in texture. Rich mix of malt, chocolate, subtle coffee and fruit. Dry and slightly bitter finish. Complex. Nice.
(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of Mikkeller. Hazy, dark brown - close to black - with an orange hue and a creamy, beige head leaving some lacework. Intense aroma of plums and dried fruit. Huge, full body - a little low in carbonation perhaps. Roasted maltiness with loads of dried fruit and some vinous, port-like accents. There’s a light, underlying tartness. Not much hoppiness to be detected but still fairly balanced and the massive alcohol well hidden. 010108
