Hildigöltur (5103) - København, DENMARK - NOV 6, 2007
Draught at Ølbaren. Very dark brown coloured with a nice light brown head. Aroma of prunes, raisins dried apricots. caramel and some coffee. Very sweet flavour full of dried fruits and some spices. Medium to full bodied. The alcohol is well hidden.

750ml bottle. 2007. Dark mahogany with a thin brown head. Very opaque. The aroma is lightly yeasty with chocolate and spiced dried fruit. Very yeasty dark fruit is the first thing I notice in the flavor. There are things like apple, cherry, and date but the yeast strain seems to overpower these flavors in the background and run all the way through this beer. There are Belgian candy hints and lightly burnt caramel notes but again, the yeast presence is omnipresent. Creamy syrupy mouth feel. I was not a huge fan of this but I won’t say it isn’t a well crafted beer.

jimmack (1223) - Nutley, New Jersey, USA - JAN 1, 2008
750ml. bottle. Dark brown color with a medium sized tan head. Aroma of brown sugar, dark dried fruits, cinnamon and a bit of vinegar. Flavor starts off sweet, with brown sugar, raisins and pepper before turning somewhat tart and vinous. Did not like the combination of flavors. The sweet and sour did not play nice together in my mouth.

cheeta (1181) - Langå, DENMARK - DEC 3, 2008
Heavy malty aroma. Huge frothy, light brown head. Excellent lacing. Black body. Heavy sweet and light bitter with notes of fruit / raisin. Medium palate and creamy texture.

Palidor19 (3194) - Brandon, Florida, USA - FEB 4, 2009
good aroma of flavor of cola and dark fruit. the taste is slightly smokey and the taste of both cola and dark again, slightly tart but the beer is smooth and not very fizzy

PetetheMeat (621) - Hove, DENMARK - NOV 25, 2007
Brown unclear ale with brown medium lasting head. Malty sweet aroma and flavour. Very sweet and very malty. Hides the ABV surprisingly well. Some spicy notes too. Extremely soft carbonation. Sherryish notes. Candy, cane sugar and a little yeast. Overall, well, wont by another - its more of a show off than a good beer...

3.2
3fourths (9367) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 1, 2007
UPDATED: JUL 5, 2013 750ml bottle. Dark dark brown. Huge nose of heavy quad clove and plum and brown sugar yeast with a dose of alcohol thrown in the mix as well. Flavor up front is smoke, some sweet fruity char and then some blackberry and wood, sweet on the back but not overly sweet, and finishing with a hit of alcohol. The blackberry and black cherry fruit note is probably the nicest feature of this beer.

fiulijn (21516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 20, 2007
Draught at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen, 6-3-7-3-13=32
Black color with brown hue. Good body structure, well mixed flavors, but nothing exceptional, some caramel, light chocolate, very light roasted malt…

3.2
gunhaver (1030) - Tampa, Florida, USA - FEB 17, 2008
UPDATED: JUN 5, 2008 Courtesy hopscotch. Pours black, with a tan creamy head, and nice sheets of lacing. Some candy sugar and clove in the nose. Lots of spices. Candy corn flavor, with some slight tartness. Caramel, banana also present. Soft medium body. Drinkable despite ABV.

3.2
Ughsmash (7502) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 2, 2009
750mL bottle. Poured a highly-viscous, murky deep brown with very little carbonation evident. The aroma picked up a base of molasses, dark chocolate, and black patent maltage surrounded by spicy, fruity, Belgian-inspired yeast and darker spices.. a bit of soy impression on the back.. a touch brash at first, but it came together when given a chance to breathe. The flavor found soy and licorice at the core with dried cocoa and sticky black patent sweetness around.. warm spices and tart fruity character around.. a touch of oxidation hit on the back. Medium-plus bodied with very low carbonation.. tart and spicy notes accented decently, but it wasn’t all that enjoyable.
