Café Sveavägen, Stockholm. Hazy deep amber colour with a mediumsized beige head. Aroma is spices, rather lots of fruityness, alcohol and some mild berryish notes. Flavour is red grapes, some alcohol, mild berries, rather winous and some slight spicy and yeasty notes. Rather balanced. As it warms up it gets some blueberries in the finish.
Bottle 37,5 cl. Hazy and opaque orangey brown with a beige head. A lot of vanilla in the nose - and vanilla. Medium body, nuts, sweetish overripe fruit and caramel but it’s the barrel’s woody notes that clearly dominate, plenty of wood with a tart edge. Quite thrilling. 251210 madmitch76 (24788) - , Essex, ENGLAND - DEC 27, 2010
14th December 2010. At the Euston Tap with Harrisoni. This beer has a tough act following the stellar Yulesmith Summer. Dark red - brown beer, a little cloudy. Good frothy tan head. Light minerally nose with traces of red wine. Light semi soft palate, airy with mild carbonation. Light cream in the mouth. A little minerals, mild fruit salad, mild red wine. A little woody. Finishes semi dry. Nice! Travlr (24656) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 3, 2010
