Tasted on 4/25/14 from a capped 375mL bottle purchased at Sun Devil a while ago. Pours murky dark brown with a thick beige head that slowly recedes to thick, sticky lace. The nose is spiced with some caramel, chocolate, and dark bread malt with a very signature dark rum molasses, and an earthy basement yeast aroma. The flavor is a bit more chocolate with the same caramel, spices, lighter bread, and lighter molasses rum with some heat. The body is full with lively carbonation and a long molasses rum and chocolate finish. ken1 (1983) - DENMARK - DEC 21, 2013

0.375 l bottle, thanks hanniku! Slightly hazy dark reddish brown color. Heavily rummy aroma with oak, vanilla, nail polish remover, cocoa and dark fruits. Taste of oak, raisins, solvent, cocoa, clove, cinnamon, ginger and cola. Thick full body. Very pungent, too much nail polish remover (ethyl acetate). sfhodense (4789) - Odense NØ, DENMARK - MAY 13, 2013

Dark brown opaque beer, good mid - tan head. Light palate, semi dry and quite crisp. At first sip it comes across as a sour dark beer but as you adjust it’s quite a sweet barrel beer. Rum that is more than offset by tangy spices. Finish is dry and minerally spicy. More of a Christmas style beer than previous editions but ironically falls in to that trap of being a tad over spiced. Also it’s a bit dry but overall hard to dislike!
37.5 cl bottle @ home. Pours dark brown with a tan head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma is rum, magic marker, dark fruits, oak, and vanilla. Flavour is rum, dark fruits, and vanilla. gyllenbock (9099) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 9, 2012
Bottle bought at Kihoskh in November 2012.
Reddish/brown with a small head. Aroma and taste of alcohol, "white spirit", wood, some spices, malt and notes of fruit. A bit strange this one.

Pours a hazy and dark brown beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt, rum, alcohol, raisin and dried fruit. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is dry with sweetness and alcoholwarmth. Overall an average beer. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - NOV 25, 2012
Bottle. Black with a creamy tan head. Wow. Big rum soaked raisin, chocolate, and fig aroma. Tastes of raisin, plum, and chocolate up front followed by rum and cola and finishing with dry oaky fig flavors. Nice thick semi creamy and semi oily palate. Very good overall.
