2010 just as the title of the beer says.
This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a gentle dark brown color with a one finger white to off white foamy soft head. Once the head died off, there was a semi-thick speckled lacing pervading around the sides of the glass.
The smell had a slight boozy ginger to cinnamon with a decent dark chocolate and a milk chocolate involving itself with a semi-light coffee.
The taste was intriguing as it took all of those previously mentioned flavors and combined wonderfully.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body and I found myself sipping this for the most part. Sticky booziness smooths it’s way over my tongue and coerces me to luxuriously float in my recliner.
Overall, wow, what a night it was when I had this. For being several years old, this one still had it’s power at you know what, this was really good. bhensonb (15745) - Woodland, California, USA - NOV 21, 2011
Bottle from Whole Foods in Folsom, CA. Pours garnet tinged dark amber brown with a fizzy transient tan/beige head. Aroma of rum! Full bodied. Flavor is a bit acetone with spice, old oak, and rum!!! Heat is not a problem Finishes with rum and oak. LOVE rum. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - NOV 25, 2012
Bottle. Black with a creamy tan head. Wow. Big rum soaked raisin, chocolate, and fig aroma. Tastes of raisin, plum, and chocolate up front followed by rum and cola and finishing with dry oaky fig flavors. Nice thick semi creamy and semi oily palate. Very good overall. 77ships (11026) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JAN 1, 2017
[Thank you David!][375 ml. bottle split by two @ Boxing Day Tasting][Obv. 2010 Vintage.] Dark brown, tanned bubbles. Nose is quite boozy, harsh booze, almost going towards medicinal, herbal rum, very sweet & syrupy underneath, spice heavy rum, varnish note, vague oxidation but far less than expected. As usual with beer this vintage, ness is less than the taste. Taste is quite pleasant actually, warming very syrupy sweet sugary Belgian beer, dash syrop de Liège, thick sweet dark fruit & rum spice syrup, lower cough syrup, herbal, warming, pleasantly sweet, very thick lightly vinous sugar, caramel, very sweet Belgian, warming, faint varnish. Body is thick cough syrup herbal, very sweet & cloying Belgian with a good profile, held up surprisingly well. flemmingwillum (1233) - Nysted, DENMARK - SEP 21, 2011

Bottle. Dark brown beer with a big tan head. Raisin and toffee aroma with malt and light yeast. Rum and malt flavor with dried fruits and light spice.. Medium bodied. Rum and raisin lingers with light spice, light toffee, and light yeast. 60minuteman (1765) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 27, 2012
Pours dark brown w/ small brown head. Smells like red wine, rum and spiced malts...lots of alcohol. Interesting taste...similar to the smell, lots of alcohol, oak, spices, slight sweetness as well. A lingering alcohol taste does not detract from the experience one bit. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - JUN 25, 2012
Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a deep reddish-brown color with a tan head. The aroma has a lot of rum and chocolate in it, as well as some alcohol and dark fruit and cherry notes. The flavor is similar, with the rum notes really standing out. There is also some cherry and prune notes in the flavor, as well as some nice barrel-aging notes such as maple, oak and vanilla. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. ngeunit1 (1555) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 3, 2013
