37,5cl bottle from Alko. Poured black with a brownish head. Aroma has liquirice, spices and malt. Flavor is liquirice, roasted malt with spices coming better through as it gets warmer. Some alcohol in finish. JohnnyJ (5545) - San Diego, California, USA - NOV 21, 2011
Dark brown pour, with a medium sized light tan head. Dark fruits, dry roasted malt, a fair amount of bitterness, christmas spices, light chocolate, and molasses. Not really what I was expecting, more burnt and bitter, and less rich sweetness. Still a decent holiday ale. mjs (7156) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 24, 2011
(Bottle, 0.375 l - batch 201120, from Alko, 20111124) The beer poured almost black and clear. Its head was medium sized, fizzy and light brown. Aroma had chocolate, liquorice and mildly spices. Palate was full bodied, warming and bit oily with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, chocolate, ash, orange and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty and bitter. Very strong flavours but spices were luckily mostly in the backgroung. Good in small portions. rlgk (18847) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 3, 2011

Bottle (375 ml), courtesy of larsniclas. Hazy chestnut, medium beige head. Roasted chocolate aroma with some spices. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Dry with high bitterness. Ceebs25 (503) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - DEC 24, 2011
On tap at the Bavarian Lodge in Lisle, IL. Mikkeller did a nice job on this holiday ale. Pours with a milk chocolate body, and a rich creamy head with a ring of retention. In the nose lots of sweet candies and chocolate, as well as peppery spice and fruity, citrus spice in a balanced, hoppy background. Tasting-wise, coriander citrus comes on strong up front, then sweet candy, peppery spice, herbals hops, and cocoa afterwards. The feel is quite rich, creamy, and spicy. Wish there was a bit more prominent roast. The peppery spice is not overdone and everything blends together nicely. Maybe not my favorite holiday ale, but well done. smith4498 (3641) - Winter Springs, Florida, USA - FEB 4, 2012

[4167-20111203] Tap. Sweet roasted grains aroma. Black body with a medium-lasting creamy tan head and some light lacing. Roasted bitter alcohol grains flavour. Full body is quite boozy. Tasty but packs a little punch. (8/4-/7/3/14) 3.6
