Taste is roasty, lots of barrel, vanilla, licorice, cinnamon, dark fruits, spices. Damn this is nice and special! Vestergaard (2089) - Aarhus C, DENMARK - NOV 20, 2015
Bottle from Voldby Købmandsgård. Pours a deep, dark reddish brown - almost black - with a nice big, brown head. Aroma has lots of cinnamon, clove, vanilla, lots of spices, belgian yeasty fruit notes with dates and raisins. Again raisins in a more cognac kind of way, dark malts, lots of caramel. Can’t believe if there isn’t cinnamon in this. Chocolate, sweet caramelized orange peel. Taste is sweet, more malty, slight roast, strong alcohol heat, lots of cognac character, coconut!! KOKOSTOPPE!!!!! sweet licorice, Anthon Berg marzipanbrød with cognac, orange. Really nice and complex taste! Pretty full bodied, medium low carbonation. This is really really good!! wvhoran (455) - Tasmania, - AUG 11, 2015
Draught at Mikkeller Bangkok. Unclear dark red-brown colour with no head. The aroma has notes of dark fruit, spice, caramel, and lots of cognac. The flavour is sweet with dark fruit (plum/prune, dates) spices, caramel, coconut, cognac. A warning and long finish. I really dig this. bursprak (3205) - Aarhus, DENMARK - JUN 27, 2015

bottle 375 ml 10.9% abv. pitch black with foamy beige head. aroma with cognac notes. chocolate and cognac dominates the taste but also dark fruits. its a great ale but the cognac influence is omnipresent and i prefer the original version in this case. fonefan (49299) - VestJylland, DENMARK - MAR 4, 2015

[ As Mikkeller Santas Little Helper 2012 (Barrel Aged Cognac Edition) ].
Clear medium black red brown color with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coconut, alcohol - cognac. Flavour is heavy sweet and light bitter with a long long duration, candy - laber larver, alcohol - cognac, chocolate, roasted, coconut, bounty bar. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic.
Bottle. Mahogny in color, off-white head. Wooden notes, some sweet spices, bit of vanilla and vinous chocolate in aroma. Nice, feels quite like Christmas somehow. Roasted notes with chococoffee upfront in taste. Creamy and soft mouthfeel. Cinnamon and chocolatey cognac in the end. A nice surprise. back (2156) - Holstebro, DENMARK - DEC 29, 2014
