Alengrin (5722) - BELGIUM - SEP 2, 2014
Another special edition of Santa’s Little Helper, very similar to the cognac barrel aged version, but much less sharp tannins; subtle orange liqueur and orange peel from the Grand Marnier pierces through and adds to the complex but elegant and gentle character of the basic beer. A masterpiece, the perfect sipper on a cold winter night.

kathouse (1940) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - JUN 3, 2014
Pours dark brown with a rich foam. Aroma of brown sugar, figs, and tree bark. Low carbonation with a medium thick mouthfeel. Complex flavors of toast, oak, sugar, and dates. Grand Marnier has an orange citrus note, but not really detecting here. Maybe some peel in the finish. Drying from the alcohol. Enjoyable.

Dont drink this one cold. Treat it like red wine. Let it grow, take your time! Let it discover your tongue and your mouth. It is a beautifully complex ale with a remarkable presence of grand marnier! ---Rated via Beer Buddy (iOs)

Bottle sample at Essen Kerstbierfestival. Pours near black with a beige head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, malt, fudge. Flavour is over moderate to heavy sweet and bitter. The grand marnier is noticeable in the palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Skinnyviking (9720) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 29, 2014
Bottle at home. Medium high lasting creamy light brown head. Very dark red brown body. Odd sweet dusty cocoa straw roasted malt caramel aroma. Surprisingly high carbonated sweet roasted malt cocoa caramel alcohol flavor with a fair amount of hops bitterness, hints of vanilla. Long finish. Alcohol nicely subdued.
