Bottle, bought @ Kihoskh, Cph. Pours deep black with a lovely, staying, creamy, beige head. Aroma has mild roasted malts, chestnut, chocolate, softly vinious, cardemum, coriander. Medium carbonation, lovely creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has a bit of a vinious bite, but also wonderful cocoa and Nutella. Piney, light roasted bitterness. A touch of yeast. Nice.

75 cl bottle @ home. Pours dark brown with a tan head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is dark fruits, roasted malt, chocolate, and spices. Flavour is dark fruits, roasted malt, and spices. mikedR (1561) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - DEC 22, 2012
Strong. Doesn't hide its ABV well. A little too barley wine esque for my tastes.

Very smooth. Somewhat like an imperial stout, but with a festive, spicy finish that really defines it. I like Mikkeller in general, and this beer shows to me that they can do more than IPAs. Quite good. FaithHealer1 (358) - SCOTLAND - DEC 20, 2012
Keg at Friends of Ham. Pours an inky black, small bubbly head. Aroma is liquorice, spices (clove and juniper), some coffee and chocolate. Taste is similar - really nicely balanced. Medium-full body, low carbonation. Just very nicely balanced and really tasty - like Pannepot, but closer to my tastes. Very nice. bb (9241) - Alamo, California, USA - DEC 20, 2012
Draft. Blackish beer with a brown head. Toffee and spice aroma. Toffee and spice flavor with light chocolate. Medium-plus bodied. Toffee and light spice lingers with light chooclate. talon1117 (1152) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - DEC 18, 2012
The pour is a very dark brown color with a full, pale tan, foamy head which settles to a thick, rocky foam and leaves decent Belgian lace. The nose is a bit off (may be infected), lactic, some floral, grass, burnt toast, bitter chocolate, and slight toffee. The flavor is similar with lactic still, burnt toast, sweet toffee, dark chocolate, faint apple skins, light cinnamon, and floral. The palate is medium to full, silky smooth, soft to lively, and round. The beer finishes mostly sweet with toffee, dark chocolate, some cinnamon, and toast and roast notes left on the tongue. A fairly disappointing beer from a series I look forward to every year. I’m not sure if the beer was infected but the nose sure seemed that way. The biggest positives were the incredible drinkability for the ABV and the amazing palate for the style. Decent but not as good as the past years. 77ships (9640) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - DEC 18, 2012
75 cl. bottle sampled @ 18th Christmasbeer festival in Essen. Lighter black / brown, light ruby shade, mocha bubbles. Smell is light, sweet liquorice, cough syrup, lightly mineral. Taste is sweet mocha, sticky chocolate, cream & creamy, liquorice, herbal, bitter mineral, burned coffee in the back & light booze. Sticky but less full than usual body. Not the top but certainly solid & enjoyable.
