Draft to taster at Dutchs. Looks good; a cloudy brown with light beige lacing. Smells of dark malt and chocolate with notes of light Belgium yeast and dark fruit notes. Tastes like it smells with a nice, smooth. Mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

Opaque black - brown beer, little pale tan head. Smooth softish palate, a little dry with fine carbonation. Spirity dark malt.. no roast or bitterness. A little dark chocolate and dark fruits. Not really getting the spices. Dry finish with mild wood. Okay but could do with a little aging.

Bottle from Craft Beer Co Islington. Pours dark chrestnut brown with a small, firm khaki head. Solid lacing left about. Nose shows heavy raisin and dark fruits, really reminds me of a Christmas cake pudding. Heavy, dark fruits, light wood and charred malts. Very creamy like custard. Raisins are huge. Christmas cake notes akin to rum n raisin. Lightly burnt malts and toffee. Great balance for quite a big beer. Alcohol is warming which I really enjoy but hidden very well. Very good stuff. Spot on when it comes to my palate
