On tap @Erzbierschof -- almost black with small creamy beige head. Aroma is dark chocolate, dark fruit, roasty notes. Taste is similar, with velvety sweetness, easy to drink. Some weird aspects. jgentgesdo (694) - Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA - JAN 14, 2013
Pours opaque dark brown with a thin brown head. Nose is chocolate, coffee, toasted pecans, dates, cloves, charcoal in the end. Very sweet, very alcohol forward. Medium heavy body. Lingering alcohol and charcoal aftertaste. Very good. LoFi (1752) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 13, 2013

Funky aroma of yeast, mustard and apricots. Deep crimson/magenta color with a large tan foam. Thick texture with flavors of molasses, candied caramel, sugared fruits and belgian candi sugar. Some toasted toffee, ginger, cinnamon and cocoa is present on the finish. Overall, this is a very interesting take on a Belgian strong. Very sweet and sugary with very well masked alcohol. Bottle on Christmas day. Pours Black with a beige head. Hearty aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and booze. The flavour is classic Belgian yeast with a nice malty sweetness and a little bit of background spice. Berries and prunes. Very smooth considering the alcohol content. I found this beer to be elegant and probably the best of the day. Niller (1718) - Hammel, DENMARK - JAN 6, 2013
Bottle, Voldby Koebmandsgaard,DK. Black pour with tan coloured diminishing head, medium body and oily texture. Aroma/taste dark fruits, chocolate malt, pine and liquorice. Taste like christmas cake/iced fruit cake. Lovely brew, perfect for christmas! KyotoLefty (10675) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JAN 6, 2013
750 ml Bottle from Yamaichi. Chocolatey, spicy nose, licorice, light coffee, berries, apple, alcohol fumes. Interesting and strange. Black with a low, thick, bubbly tan head. Rich, malty, sweet. Chocolate, coffee, cream, licorice, spices, apple pie, blackberry jam. Rich and tasty, dessert-like. Much like a Belgian Imperial stout. Over the top and very tasty, though very sweet and lots of spice. pdx77 (1717) - Oregon, USA - JAN 5, 2013
On draught at Roscoe’s. Distinct apple juice smell. Chocolate, apple, and spice flavor notes. Not hoppy.
