ABV: 9.1%. Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, light bread - nutty. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, burnt sugar, spicy, bread - nutty, dry, caramel, peppery. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 
75 cL bottle. Pours cloudy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is caramelish, roasted and cinnamon. Solid roasted caramel malt. Bitter, dry spiced and vague herbal. A bit more alcohol presence noticeable in the 10.9 version compared to the 9.1. 9.1 version seems a wee bit more balanced. Tasting at the pad of the ever gracious Bruce. Opaque dark brown beer, big yellowish tan - cream head. Palate is light and smooth. Sweet milk in the malt, a little cream as well. Vert light spice. Mild bubblegum ester underneath. Very mild dark fruits. Smooth semi dry finish. Tasty but a tad milky overall.
Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Kenny. Pours rich red-brown with a frothy, beige head. Enticing nose, some toffee, leathery fruits. Medium sweet flavor with rich bread, dried fruits, raisins. Full bodied with fine, smooth carbonation. Sweet finish with hefty fruitcake, leathery fruits, hints of cocoa, mild earthy bitterness.
