Bottle enjoyed at home

Pours dark brown with a wonderful dense creamy beige head with the most amazing laces ever! Smell of orange liquor, oak, dark fruits, dark malts and caramel. Heavy sweet, distinct citrus, orange marmelade, oak, dades and hints of booze. Very good stuff, so much flavors and layers. Great beer

375ml bottle at home. Hazy brown with a medium slightly off-white head. Medium to full body with low carbonation. Quite sweet with subtle bitterness. Caramel, malts, tangerine, booze and spices. Nice!

The beer is a dark mahogany brown. Medium tan head. Liquid might be a bit cloudy. Hard to tell. The aroma has a ton of toasty malt flavor with light holiday cookie spicing. Spices are milder than expected. The barrel is strong but quite pleasant. Vinous and oaky with a citrus twist. Big brown sugar and molasses. Some booze. Much more holiday-ish than I was expecting. It really pulls off the Christmas theme. Gently sweet in taste. Growing barrel influence. Grand Marnier really shows itself here. Soft mouthfeel with some slickness to it. Well toasted sugar with raisins and dates. The orange flavor works well with the spice and wood to provide balance to the sweetness. Very nice beer. I wasn’t quite as wowed as I was with the cognac version, but it’s definitely a fun holiday beer and worth trying.
