COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by the Belgian Christmas beers, known for their thick warming body, light spices and balanced hop profile. Orange peels and coriander seeds, along with the extreme fermentation temperatures, give a massive mix of fruity nuances. Ingredients: water, barley malt, wheat flakes, dark cassonade sugar, orange peels (0.7%), coriander seeds (0.3%), hops, yeast.

On tap at Polyhistor Pub, Budapest. Reddish brown color. Smell of prunes, brown sugar, roasted grains, overripe fruits. Medium-heavy sweet, spicy, flavors of prunes, raisins, chocolate, molasses, dark bread, light alcoholic warmth, quite balanced for such heavy stuff. Full-bodied, oily, smooth. Very nice.

De geur is weeral zoals ipa. Niet goed dus. De kleur is mooi donker. De smaak valt mee, een combinatie van een volle smaak zoals de donkere bieren en een bittere smaak zoals de ipas. Zeer vreemd.

appearance: extremely dark brown, frothy near white head with good lacing. aroma: dark caramel, molasses, raisin, fig, clove, burnt candi sugar. taste: sweet dark malts, toffee, candi sugar, candied orange rind, slightly herbal, notes of clove and cinnamon. finish: thick, rich, slowly building boozy notes of bourbon and vanilla, lingering spice. notes: Very nice, solidly tasty, although not mind-bending. Bottle from the Rare Beer Club.

Expected this to be mindblowing, but it is not. No doubt a very good beer with a complex taste anyway!
