Draft to taster at Ei8ht Ball from notes. Pours a dark golden amber moving toward brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have a base of toasted bready malts, crackers, with hops the are orange and grapefruit citrus, some pine needles and lightly spicy. Come off better on the nose than flavor. Flavor is probably a bit malt forward, but this seems fresher than some of the bottles I’ve had. Sdaniel90 (1080) - Mexico City, MEXICO - MAR 11, 2015
Bottle, 33cl. Clear copper with a foamy offwhite head. Fruity hop aroma with hints of caramel, grapefruit, pine resin. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Rich and smooth, with a creamy feel. Moderately sweet and quite bitter, but with high astringency and an herbal bitter finish. Very pleasant. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 23, 2014
Pint on tap at Ei8ht Ball during their import happy hour. Totally hazy kind of darker amber orange color. Thin off-white head. Leaves good, thicker lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick texture. Light drying in the finish. Caramel, toasty, kind of spicy malt. Like a lot of these single-hop Mikkeller beers I’ve tried on tap at Ei8ht Ball, there;s a bigger, more pronounced malt component than you’d expect from your typical IPA. This particular beer is also hoppier than the others I’ve tried from the series too, though. Big orange citrus hop, light resin, some pine and woodsy flavors. Spicy hop. Seems like that describes Apollo well, a better showcase of this hop it seems than others in the series... Or maybe it’s a hardier hop? Moderate plus bitter taste. Light to moderate sweet. Definitely one of the more interesting ones from this series that I’ve tried. Finishes more dry, so the sweetness isn’t bothersome. Not a caramel bomb, more just spicy, a lot of spicy hop. I’m reading that this Apollo hop preserves well, maybe that’s evident here. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to handle a whole pint of this, but I enjoyed savoring and contemplating on it, even as non-American and atypical as it is. Maltier, yeah, but the malts aren’t bad and the hop is interesting. Stuu666 (13094) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 14, 2014

solid; Draft to taster at Ei8ht Ball. Looks solid; a somewhat hazy dark apricot with off-white head. Smells sweet and malty with faded hop notes and some caramel. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Sweet and underwhelming.

Bottle @ home. Clear orange color, medium to full sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, loads of hops, some pine, lightly tropical fruits like melon and a hint of pineapple, good bitterness. Medium body, medium to full carbonation. Nekronos (4175) - Xalapa, MEXICO - APR 3, 2014
Very bitter too, prabably just well crafted but irreal bitter. Had it from tap at a fetsival close to UCF too. angel77 (3237) - oviedo, SPAIN - JAN 30, 2014
