Keg @ Mikkeller Bar during CBC week. The beer appears reddish brown with a tiny white head. A beer that’s a bit surprising in appearance! The nose is malty deep reddish raspberry and strawberry, light hay, some tobacco. The taste is light lemon rind and fruit juice. Bananas and sugared donuts. The mouthfeel is light and perhaps overly sweet. Chewy caramel malts show themselves. Overall, a decent, malty IPA from Mikkeller. suprchunk (2994) - Crestview, Florida, USA - MAY 14, 2012
Amber color. Off-white head with little lacing. Big floral hop aroma. Big malt flavor, cereal, scotch ale taste. Sweet on the back. Very nice. ComradeK (1256) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAY 7, 2012
330ml bottle. Pours a hazy medium amber, with a large off-white head, which lasts well and leaves decent lacing. Lemon, some sweet spices - cinnamon and mild cloves - and caramel malt make up the aroma. There are some quite potent hops up front, but they offer a fairly simple lemon flavour. This sweetens a little leading into a body of smooth caramel malt. A touch of lemon gives way to a spicy, slightly peppery finish. This is not the best of this series. Whilst there is a potent level of bitterness from the Bravo hops, the flavour is a touch too simple; I suspect this is a hop that would work better with some other varieties in the mix. Despite its simplicity, however, it is a pleasant enough IPA. mcmisko (358) - New York, USA - MAY 3, 2012
Pours amber with white head, good retention. Smells floral with topical fruit notes. Taste is malty with a honey like sweetness, grapefruit, tropical fruits, pineapple and flowers. Med-full body. A bit sticky texture. After taste is dry and bitter sweet. Rich and refreshing, but pretty normal. pushkinwow (2889) - Ottawa, CANADA - MAY 2, 2012
On tap at the Blue Monk. Cloudy strong amber with creamy tan head. Mild aroma of resin, light fruit hops and doughy malt. Low carbonation, moderate body, slightly bitter with sweet malts balancing things out, well balanced although the alcohol does come through a little too much for me on the finish along with a lot of malts. Decent.

Blind tasting at The Penguin. Bleached, creamy head atop a bright coppery body. Nose back in the tropical fruit bowl; guavas, mangos, lime zest, Jelly Tots...with underlying chocolate and liquorice. Soapy, floral, approaching quinine bitterness with sherbet, strawberry and bitter orange notes. But less flavour than promised by the aroma. Has something of an amped-up, Sheps quality about it. Noticeably fizzier than previous samples. Solid.

Aroma is slightly stale with lots of hops, gooseberry bush and hints of fruits. Flavour is rather hoppy with gooseberry bush and biscuits. A bit straightforward like single hops usually are, but good.

BBE 11.10.2013 - Pours dark orange with a nice foamy head. Aroma of grassy and fruity hops, caramel malts and some berries. Taste is quite fruity with harsh grassy and piney hops and malts. Finish is bitter and malty. Okay, well balanced and hoppy IPA.
330 ml bottle. BBE 11.10.2013.
Pours a hazy copper orange colour with a white foamy head. Aroma caramel, gooseberries and bitter hops. Flavour of rough malts, caramel, gooseberries and bitter hops. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a rough finish of malts and bitter hops. A rough IPA. Clearly not my favourite hop.
