4.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tried it at a tasting with other Mikkeller IPA’s at my favorite local beer store. This is the one I like the most. Lucky me, they had a keg in the back to fill growlers with. Guess what I got? You got it! A growler of Cascade. The pours a very pretty hazy copper with a very thick and foamy head that’s very reminiscent of the crema you get from a good cappuccino. The lacing is so good, I’ll need a scrubber to get it off the glass. The aroma is not very overwhelming, but who cares, the mouthfeel is so rich and creamy with a very nice dry finish. It makes up for the lack of strong aromatics. This is very reminiscent of 90min IPA, but yet is much more subtle and delectable than the Dogfish Head offering. It’s gonna be very hard to not put that whole growler away in one night!
Can from Pezinská pivná pumpa
Aroma: medium hoppy, some sweet finish
Look: hazy amber
Taste: somewhat hoppy transferring into nice lasting bitterness. I find there also traces of candy

A 330ml can with a best before date of 8th November 2017. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass. It was a clear orangey dark amber colour with a one finger off white head that had good retention and left nice lacing. Aromas of grapefruit, grass, citrus tea and a hint of sweet caramel malt. Tastes o orange juice, grapefruit, grass, pine, caramel malt and spicy peppery notes. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall second to Simcoe, but better than Citra and Mosaic. The malts overpowered the supposed showcased hops though, but it was still nice. Michael27 (1998) - Berlin, GERMANY - JUN 15, 2017
Aus der Büchse getrunken (Kauf bei BrewDog). Trübes Goldorange mit weißer Schaumkrone. Schöne fruchtige Nase kommt in Konflikt mit einer etwas dumpfer Körperlichkeit. rayaron (1839) - Kfar Saba, ISRAEL - JUN 12, 2017

Pours darker shade of orange, almost amber. Lots of foam, comes down slowly and leaves some lacings. Malty-hoppy aroma, some citric notes but and softer bitterness. Taste is smoother and creamier, with herbal-citric bitterness. Drinks quite well, somewhat old school IPA, malty and bitter. Not sure how well Cascade is coming out here but well probably it is. Overall OK but not very great. Theydon_Bois (19537) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - APR 27, 2017

Can frm Good Spirits Co. Orange brown, good head, nice purple can. Toffee orange aroma. Bitter apricot flavour. Smooth with bitter citrusy biscuit aftertaste. Single hop IPAs are the best.
