Originally brewed by Mikkeller, Denmark. Recent batch brewed by Mikkeller at De Proef Brouwerij, Lochristi-Hijfte, Belgium.
The third in the series of single hop IPAs from Mikkeller. Brewed with Cascade, a true American classic hop type. This hop is less powerful than the ones used in the previous two single hop IPAs - creating a great balance with the beers other aspects.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pilsner, cara-crystal and munich), hops (cascade) and yeast.

Bottled, 330 ml from Stirchley Wines & Spirits, Birmingham. Orange amber with white head. Love cascade hops and this is about the best I have tasted them, possibly. Orange, grapefruit, citrusy on opening the bottle and the first taste, dry and bittering throughout, lasting on the palate, great depth from a slightly fuller, malty body. Excellent.

Pours golden, slightly hazy with foamy white head. Aroma: intense hop profile with citrusy, floral, spicy character. Flavor follows aroma: intense hop profile with notes mentioned above and toasted crisp like, gentle toffee (almost caramel) like malt character. Hop bitterness is high, finish dry, long lasting bitter. Body is medium, texture soft, carbonation is medium.

A 330ml can with a best before date of 8th November 2017. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass. It was a clear orangey dark amber colour with a one finger off white head that had good retention and left nice lacing. Aromas of grapefruit, grass, citrus tea and a hint of sweet caramel malt. Tastes o orange juice, grapefruit, grass, pine, caramel malt and spicy peppery notes. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall second to Simcoe, but better than Citra and Mosaic. The malts overpowered the supposed showcased hops though, but it was still nice.

Aus der Büchse getrunken (Kauf bei BrewDog). Trübes Goldorange mit weißer Schaumkrone. Schöne fruchtige Nase kommt in Konflikt mit einer etwas dumpfer Körperlichkeit.

Can at Budapest. Deep copper with beige head. Mild hoppy aroma with notes of rotten citrus, earthy, some maltiness. Bitter flavor, a bit alcoholic with notes of citrusy hops, some maltiness, green and earthy. Medium-bodied.

280517. Can at home. Piurs clear copper with a nice head. Aroma floral notes, soap, hops. Nice smooth body. Slightly light palate. Not Bad.

Pours darker shade of orange, almost amber. Lots of foam, comes down slowly and leaves some lacings. Malty-hoppy aroma, some citric notes but and softer bitterness. Taste is smoother and creamier, with herbal-citric bitterness. Drinks quite well, somewhat old school IPA, malty and bitter. Not sure how well Cascade is coming out here but well probably it is. Overall OK but not very great.

Can at home, 27/04/17. Lightly hazed golden amber with a well appointed egg shell white head. Nose is tangerine, orange pith, straw, caramel, toasted grains, airy malts. Taste comprises caramel malt, bitter orange, faint pine, toasted brioche, melon, light spice trail, light mango, toasted grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced hop bitterness. Decent enough IPA.
