Another Mikkeller beer - and yet another milestone - this time rating number 6000. I’m experiencing a slow down - this millenium took me 5½ months - whereas the last 3 only took me 5 months apieces, it is probably healthy.joergen (27983) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 9, 2006
A deep red beer with a very slight hazy underneath a huge light brown head. The aroma is very hoppy with strong notes of grapefruit, grass, and lime, as well as a slight dusty note. The flavor is quite sweet with notes of caramel to start out with, then the aroma hops comes along with a strong floral presences besides notes of citrus - especially limes and lemons, some grass. And then to my surprise there is a slight intervention of a interplay of roasted malt, before the bitter end sets in with notes of grapefruit and grass combined with lesser notes of caramel and dust, leading to a long lasting quite dry and bitter end, where the lime note really never gives up.
Cloudy orange coloured with an off white head.
Sweet aroma of caramel, hops and pine needles.
Flavour of caramel, hops and pine needles.
Dry hoppy finish. oh6gdx (26482) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 27, 2007
Bottled. Reddish amber colour, huge beige foamy head. Huge flowery, fruity and grassy hops in the nose along with slight caramelly and spicy notes. Flavour is very much the same with a sting of alcohol and even mild licorace in it. Slight yeastyness showing once it gets a bit warmer. Long spiced, hoppy and slightly licoracyish aftertaste. Very pleasant.

UPDATED: SEP 4, 2009 (Bottle 50 cl) As "Mikkeller Centennial IPA". Hazy orangey brown with a handsome, beige head with good retention. Fat - but still fresh - hoppy aroma, some flowers in there. Full body with a sweet base of caramel. The Centennial hops are clearly dominating, first fresh and fruity but it gradually builds up on your palate and the beer finishes very bitter. Wauw, and the head still stands after the liquid is gone. 230606 omhper (24970) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 31, 2006
Bottled. Hazy nut brown, rich head. Striking lychee aroma with a major "oomphh". Sweet with soft, rounded mouthfeel. Extremely hoppy: the flavour leans towards sweaty, grassy lychee. Very bitter finish with notes of espresso. One of the better IPAs I’ve had! madmitch76 (24378) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 25, 2012

Clear amber beer. Good white head. Crisp palate, a little dry. Creamy malt base. Grapefruit hops with a touch of lemon citrus and a whisper of pineapple as the beer draws to a minerally dry crisp finish.
Tap at Churchkey alongside all 10 Mikkeller single hops. Aroma of dried hop flowers. Slight bitterness. Not much character. Decent enough balance.
