(Bottle 31/08-2011) Slightly unclear orange color, beige head, good bitterness, medium hoppy aroma. BB date 23/12/11. POLK (2219) - Hørning, DENMARK - AUG 24, 2011
golden orange with a big off white head. not much aroma hop. but very good hopy flavor without getting too hopy. Fine Ballance. allanbowers (93) - melbourne, AUSTRALIA - AUG 6, 2011
one of the single hop ipa beers brewed by everyones favourite danish brewery. perfectly drinkable though not exactly the greatest beer ever made. Fairly bitter. Hammy78 (977) - Dundas, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 4, 2011
Bottle given to me graciously from my step brother, I do believe he purchased it at Premier Gourmet in Buffalo. Pours a cloudy copper like colour, with a nice thick white head that recedes to a blanket that covers the top and clings to the walls of the glass. There is a couple spots of lace here and there. Aroma is not as strong as I had anticipated in comparison to the others I’ve had, which leads me to believe that the "East Kent Golding" is not that aromatic. Smells a little of pine, a little wood, and a tinge of citrus. Taste is quite bitter, dry and tart, maybe a little sour even? EHSRanders (2088) - Tjele, DENMARK - JUL 29, 2011
Bottle. Clear amber colour with large creamy white mostly lasting head. Hoppy aroma. Bitter flavor. Creamy palate.

33cl bottle at Olympen. Hazy orange colour with a big creamy head. Aroma is lafen with notes of malts, grass and some hops and caramel. Flavour is bordering on sweet with notes of malts, grass, caramel, nuts. Some faint hint of hops. This beer shows me that East Kent Golding alone is not a good hop for IPA-style beers. Too bland and lacking the bitterness expected of and IPA. Short aftertaste. GJF (1520) - Mount Vernon, Iowa, USA - JUL 9, 2011
Bottle at Sanctuary. Wonderful hop aroma. Sweet flavor with lots of grassy hop flavor--kind of raw, much less refined than the other single hop mikkellers. Good, not great. Benzai (16783) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUN 30, 2011
Like Tbone says, indeed the name is wrong here. It should indeed be "East Kent Golding Single Hop IPA". Anyway, color is a hazy dark orange, kind of amber. Smell and taste of this hop seem to bring a little more bitterness instead of fruits, grapefruits and a little orange peel. In short: it smells and tastes a little less fruity than other IPA’s. Certainly not bad, but certainly not the best from this series. TBone (18414) - Pori, FINLAND - JUN 1, 2011

By the way, all of these single hops have wrong name at Ratebeer, the name of this beer is "East Kent Golding Single Hop IPA". Maybe it is done for alphabetic sorting, but wrong they are ... Slightly hazy deep amber color, small off-white head. Resiny hoppy aroma has also sweetish notes, some rubber or glue, caramel. Medium-bodied. Dry woody hoppy flavor, salty finish, some resiny notes. Malt profile is suprisingly a bit weak for this ABV, but flavor has some alcohol too. Not a bad beer, but East Kent Golding does not play very well alone it seems.
On draft at Leons. A little citrusy but mostly bubble gum and my ever favorite band aid hop profile. Solid in the hop education just not one I would normally choose for a beer.
