This is it! Pure mastery. One of the very best beers that I’ve ever had. Poured wth a huge thick foamy frothy textured light tan head and lots of lace. Color is a hazy medium amber. Aroma is heavy hop caramel malt burnt sugar grass grain and a little orange. Flavor is like aroma but a lot more intense. Excellentt balance between bitter and sweet. Finish is like flavor and tapers off without change and is medium in length. A little alcohol there too. Session beer. OMG this is good beer. I want MORE!!!! Pelik59 (15) - FRANCE - NOV 15, 2010
One of the best beers i have ever tasted. This single hop made by my favourite brewery is perfect. Nelson sauvin is the hop i prefer. Bitterness is so long, and aroma of this beer make you enjoy its bitterness! paultheguru (644) - Parker, Colorado, USA - SEP 23, 2010
great single hop brew. absolutely outstanding. the malts lay a great backdrop for the hops. RichardW (1813) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - MAR 6, 2011
Beer Merchants.com. Absolutely enormous grapefruit aroma - it’s massive! Slips down so smoothly, it has everything you could ask for. The aroma settles down, as does the taste and the finish is perfect. Complex and superb. Embrouille (2852) - SWITZERLAND - AUG 9, 2009
Ordered from crackedkettle.com. Appearance: It pours a beautiful, slightly hazy copper beer with a tall creamy beige head leaving a beautfiul lacework. Fantastic aroma of gooseberries, (I usually associate this component with Tettnanger hops), sweat, a lot of mango, wild strawberries, pepper, vanilla, basil, hop resin, blood orange, lemon peel, rose, clotted cream and grapefruit- very impressive and mindblowingly inviting. Flavor and palate: Great hop profile with grapefruit, clotted cream, apricot, sweat, wild strawberries and lemon showing up. Good bitterness. Slight peppery elements sneaking in. Subtle carbonation. Long dry bitter finish which is reminiscent of apricot, lemon peel, faint licorice, clotted cream, wild straberries, light pepper and a huge amount of wonderful Nelson Sauvin hops. Overall impression: Fantastic, divine- I reveled in every sip. By far the best single hop IPA from Mikkeller I’ve had so far!

This beer is just awesome. Enough said. Just a tad pricey. I love this brewery so much. SUPER HOPS. VA_Jim (1) - New Jersey, USA - FEB 10, 2011 does not count
Just tried this last night. I’ve never had anything quite like it. These hops are killer. The nose is much like wine and the taste, though fairly sweet, is balanced perfectly by the bitterness. I am a big fan. ComradeK (1236) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAR 14, 2012
330ml bottle. Pours a hazy medium chestnut, with a very large off-white head, which lasts very well and leaves excellent lacing. Typical Nelson Sauvin aromas of tropical fruit, especially mango and pineapple, dominate the nose, although there is also a touch of caramel malt. A hint of sweetish mango is instantly overcome by potently bitter grapefruit hops, although it reappears, along with a touch of white peach, leading into a contrastingly smooth caramel malt body. Pineapple, grapefruit and mango create a nicely lingering finish. Nelson Sauvin, as far as I am concerned, has to be one of the best hop varieties out there, and this beer really illustrates why that is the case. Its summery tropical fruits give it a real point of difference, and its brutal bitterness means it can really mix it with some of the more potent US varieties. This really is a delightful IPA. Bottle thanks to mes, at mes’s gaff. Alround rating: Amazing hop character here, pineapple, mango, peachy, wow, super fruity, amazing stuff, only problem is a small plasticy character. tennisjoel (1457) - Rochester, Minnesota, USA - JUL 15, 2009
Huge head. Almost overflowed when pouring. Attractive looking beer with copper body beneath. Earthy, flowery aroma with some oak tones. Smells a bit like the belgian tripel ipa type beer. This beer is yummy. Atypical to a normal IPA, this pushes the boundaries of the style to a new level. Very impressive beer and the best hoppy Mikkeller beer I’ve sampled.
