Pours dirty apricot w/ a solid lingring head. Spicy hop flowers on the nose. Full nectar w/ superb effers. Rich and malty w/ a big hop component. Theres a bit of spice to it and is bone dry. The finish is bittered well. Theres a popsickle freshness about it. It salty and malty and proportioned well. obguthr (6592) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - MAY 23, 2010
Juicy tangerine and apricot nose. Slightly hazy amber. firm medium yellow head, good lacing. Delightful citrus tangerine flavor, sweet and tart initially, finishing with bitter orange peel. Nice hop to malt ratio for an IPA. Very well done. Bonus point for single hopping. This beer series is a great primer for learning about the unique characteristics of different hop varieties. Kudos to Mikkeller. GenkiGonzo (1092) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 2, 2014
Bottle from CBB. Dark gold, slightly cloudy. Fruity hop aroma. Flavour is initially fruity then gets really bitter, nice lasting flavour. Cracking beer. fredandboboflo (1570) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 31, 2009
Bottle. This beer is rockin, what’s wrong with y’all? Aroma of honey, papaya, melon, generally tropical, blending with soft malt notes. Flavor of juicy malt and loads of nectary, hoppy, tropical goodness. Though all quite excellent, this one particularly stood out to me as excellent and unique amongst the 4 Mikkeller Single Hops I’ve had. FishManLA (337) - Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA - AUG 16, 2010
Amber pour with a foamy, persistent head. Potent floral nose. Distinct woody, piney taste. Deliciously bitter finish.

Smell is amazing - beautifully aromatic that hits at delights to come. Unfortunately taste is a bit of a let down given the nose. Still very enjoyable but doesn’t quite get there. dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - AUG 27, 2010
Bottle @ Beertemple. Reddish amber orange, huge off white head.
Very fruity and floral hops aroma, orange, mandarin and grapefruit.
Flavour is intense yet smooth hop bitterness, very fruity (again, orange, mandarin and grapefruit) quite floral and a touch of earth.
Awesome. Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - JUL 10, 2009
Bottle. Pours a hazy ruby orange body with a white head. Candy sugar sweetness and a mead like chewy grassy sweet hop leaf clover. Honey sweet chewy hoppiness. Full with a sweet body and a warming alcoholic hop character. Delicious. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - AUG 6, 2009
Bottle. Ruby amber pour with nice white head. Aroma is fruity and has malt and citrus notes. Flavor is simple yet well done, citrus hop flavors with light malt and fruit qualities. Nice brew. Elwood (3336) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - OCT 14, 2009
Serving: 330 ml bottle.
Appearance: Opaque amber orange color with strange floaties but a great, off-white, meringue like head. Great head retention and good lacing too.
Aroma: The nose is full of earth, citrus hops, as well as some spicy and floral notes. Smells fabulous.
Flavor: Full of honey, earthy hops, floral notes and a solid back bitterness. This IPA is good. Really good. Clearly a showcase for the hops, but it has great balance too.
Palate: Medium-high carbonation with a medium mouthfeel and a medium-long, slightly bitter yet slightly sweet finish.
Overall: I really think this one should be rated higher. I think it is an IPA that is extremely well rounded and is definitely worth a try.
