Beautifull orange llike with huge beige head.
Earthy, long aftertaste with a little sweetness (!).
Quit complex compared with the most bitter hop types.
It has this vinous quality that I really like.
Pours a bright and hazy amber orange with a very big, super sticky, and clingy head. This beer has some pretty amazing head retention. Has a very interesting citrus, orange-grapefruit thing going on in the nose. Moderate bitterness, light for the style, the beer almost comes across as sweet with the first taste. Taste follows the nose, with a caramel sweetness chased by bitter orange rinds. There’s an underlying character of spruce and freshly mown grass that isn’t unpleasant for the style. The malt bill stands up in this beer, though it moves away from the strong notes as in others and moves more towards the spiced (think rye bread) realm. This beer reminds me of similar IPAs which use Cascade or Amarillo for hopping. I’ve had several of these now (unfortunately not all in the same evening) but this stands out a bit more. dnstone (3589) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - JAN 2, 2011
Golden in color with amber tinge, minor layor of white head. Floral aroma with citrus notes... "warm" underlying yeast, colve-spice tones. The taste is floral as well, full-mouthed witih great balance...it’s hard to nail down the flavors but it’s mellow with the flavors blending very well together. Probably my favorite of the single-hops so far. Meilby (11784) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 22, 2011
Bottle 330ml danielrog (1) - Quinto Vicentino (VI), ITALY - SEP 3, 2011 does not count
Pours cloudy amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of caramel and sweet fruity hops. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Draft beer at "The Drunken Duck Pub" in Quinto Vicentino, Vicenza, Italy.
Nice white fluffy persistant head. The beer is initially characterized by an a floreal aroma with hints of light citrus and apricots.
It has a strong and decisive bitter taste due to the quantity of hop used compensated by a rather sweet and soft finish.
