Had this at the European Beer Festival Kobenhaven 13-09-08 This wouldn’t win a beauty contest pouring as muddy brown as it did, but it was a very good beer. Nice hop oils very pushy bitterness, yet another classic example of Mikkeller’s in yer’ face approach approach of beer making. I liked this more than others on our table.

Sampled at EBF2008. Pours an unclear yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is very hoppy (grapefruit). The flavor follows the nose with lots of hops (grapefruit). The mouthfeel leaves a good bitterness, and leaves no doubt of the simcoe hops. A very good IIPA.

Draught@EBF2008. Deep hazy ambery colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruity hops, alcohol, very sweet, and also has some mild notes of vanilla. Falvour is grass, alcohol, mild fruity hoppy dryness. Nice brew otherwise, but a little bit sticky sweet.

Tap at EBF: Muddy amber with a off white head. Nose is Simcoe hops... Pine, peach & grapefruit. Power bitter & sticky. Crisp. Body is medium. Some sweet malts & sugar. Extremely one dimensional but nevertheless very nice & tasty!

Tap @ EBF, 2008, Carlsberg.
Pours muddy brown with a small, creamy, film head. Aroma is lovely hoppy, very fruit, melons, apricot and grapefruit. Fine, creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is nicely hoppy, though never overly bitter. Apricot dominating over a fair caramel malt base. Really a nice IIPA.

Draught@EBF
Dark ruby-hazelnut brown color, not much head. Strong hop juice aroma. A bit sweet, extremely hoppy with licorice-malty flavors. Hops and malts both in extreme, a bit similar to Nøgne ø #100. Good beer when sampled in small quantities.
