Draught at EBF. Murky reddish copper, small coarse head. Nice and simple passion fruity aroma. Flavor is syrupy caramel malts with strong fruity hops and lingering bitterness. Almost full bodied, smooth carbonation. Doesn’t show that same fresh fruitiness as the single simcoe, but nicely intensive. harrisoni (19403) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 5, 2008
On tap at EBF 08. Hazy russet, lasting beige head. Yes, lots of simcoes, it sings and shines over a sweetish malty body. Bit of heat on finish. Some yeast. It’s good, bit too much heat/hot alchool perhaps? Not as rounded as something like the Stone DIPA Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - OCT 5, 2008
EBF2008. The color is dark red mahogany and the aroma has nice, fruity hoppy notes with hints of pine and a lot of smooth caramel. The flavour has notes of pine, resin, fruit, caramel, hints of licorice and a little ash. IMO the finish is a little unbalanced, but it’s still a very nice beer. cgarvieuk (26077) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 3, 2008
draught at EBF Copenhagen 2008 ... Hazy Dirty brown ... very bright hop nose and very hoppy it was ... huge hop kick up front ... quite bitter and more hops. Not my thing. asheft (3111) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 1, 2008

Smells like hops: pine and spice. Also toffee and notes of butterscotch oak, walnut, and grapefruit. Yellowed brown and cloudy with a wispy cover and ring. Very bitter--just a bit too much for the malty goodness which is overshadowed. Almost salty from so much hops. One dimensional, but really is hoppy--citrus/pine/currant/raisin. Medium body, spicy, bitterness eventually dissipates.
Rating #28from the european beer festival 2008. Fin (10970) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 27, 2008
Has a darker look, brownish, and a thicker palate than the singel hop version. Other than that the aroma is again flowery and grassy with a highly bitter flavor.
Had this at the European Beer Festival Kobenhaven 13-09-08 This wouldn’t win a beauty contest pouring as muddy brown as it did, but it was a very good beer. Nice hop oils very pushy bitterness, yet another classic example of Mikkeller’s in yer’ face approach approach of beer making. I liked this more than others on our table. stobbe74 (3790) - DENMARK - SEP 25, 2008
Sampled at EBF2008. Pours an unclear yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is very hoppy (grapefruit). The flavor follows the nose with lots of hops (grapefruit). The mouthfeel leaves a good bitterness, and leaves no doubt of the simcoe hops. A very good IIPA. oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - SEP 25, 2008
Draught@EBF2008. Deep hazy ambery colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruity hops, alcohol, very sweet, and also has some mild notes of vanilla. Falvour is grass, alcohol, mild fruity hoppy dryness. Nice brew otherwise, but a little bit sticky sweet. Theis (15151) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 23, 2008
Draught at EBF. Cloudy amber - white head. Baking yeast, berries, high hoppy, high resin, grassy, sweetness, sugar, pineneedles, fruity, grapefruity. Very nice - but again this baking yeast...
