Pours dark amber with a large, lasting head.
Nose shows some soft fruity hops along with more prominent pine, grapefruit and resinous notes. Underneath is some sweet caramel and bready notes.
Flavours mostly comprised of pine and herbal hops, but some clean malt shows up later. Finishes with a sharp, aggressive bitterness.
Too highly carbonated.
Not particularly interesting, and summit doesn’t really seem suited to bittering. rbrazell (1698) - Florida, USA - OCT 28, 2012
Bottle from Liam’s. Cloudy deep amber pour with a eggshell head that laces. Aroma is caramel malts with apricot and mango tropical hops. The sweetness lightens up in the flavor with more bitter citrus and lighter notes of pine. Medium bodied with a dry bitter finish. FunkyBrewster (1518) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 7, 2012

Pours hazy deep amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus, floral and apricot. Taste is medium sweet and medium to heavy bitter with a long sweet fruity and bitter finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle. Moderate malt notes of grain and caramel, moderate flowers and orange, almost tangerine for the hops, light soap for the yeast with date, brown sugar, pepper, cooked vegetable and a hint of alcohol. Head is large, frothy turning rocky, off-white with good crusty lacing and good legs and is mostly lastly lasting. Color is hazy orange/tan. Flavor starts lightly sweet and lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter. palate is medium, slick with a lively carbonation and has a lightly astringent finish. Fruity and peppery, the hops used in this IPA is very unique.

Thanks to Junior at Puerto Rico Food Mart for swinging this one by. Sweeter caramel and pine aroma that most of the single hop series, nice bit of alcohol and some sweet fruit. Great appearance, bit hazy, but huge billowing foamy head. Flavor is sharply sweet, caramel crystal, light grass, plenty of grape, some pine, medium bitterness, classic De Proef odd yeast character. daje (4436) - NORWAY - SEP 4, 2012

A-- Served a dark, hazy orange amber color. Looks earthy and heavy in the glass. One finger off white head that nestled into a nice looking film through drinking. Good head retention through drinking, as well as good lacing on the sides of the glass.
S-- Earthy, heavy, gritty, and pungent. Pine, orange, grapefruit, bubblegum, toffee but quite grainy and earthy. Big malt bill in the nose but just a really earthy IPA.
T-- See above. Just really a chewy IPA. Burnt toffee, dirty pine, orange sherbert and grapefruit.
M-- Heavy, oily and chewy beer. Low carbonation but shows signs of creaminess in the mouth. Much bigger feel than the nose or taste leads on to. Put in a lot of work to drink this puppy.
O-- Slow sipper due to weight. Good aromatic nose but this was just a heavy beer to drink. One was more than enough
