COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: Tomahawk is a great American hop variety, high alpha acid content and plenty of floral impression. This Single Hop IPA is a very powerful fellow who will probably scare off more people than he amuses but for a true hop head looking for a bitter experience this is nothing less than heavenly.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pilsner, cara-crystal and munich), hops (tomahawk) and yeast.

Orange and the exact same color as the Amarillo single hop I had just prior. It smells hoppy, it tastes hoppy and might have had a hint of citrus but honestly I was a little disappointed with myself for not being able to get a good definition of what Tomahawk hops smell and taste like. I’ve been trying to drink these single hop IPA to educate myself enough that I can pick out particular hops by flavor or aroma. And, I love IPA’s. Overall this was a good American IPA but I might need to give it another go. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 04-10-2010 19:14:59

The taste is tomahawk, and it´s great... in the beginning, then like other single hops, boring in the end.

backlog, shared with Pat in 2010, bought at Canals West Dep. Pours a murky orange golden with larger white head. Aroma of grapefruit, light vanilla, citrus, and pine. Strong bitterness in the close with a nice hoppy aftertaste.

Draught. Orange in colour, nice white head. Aroma of pine, some oranges and herbs. In taste lightly sweet with very strong bitter finish, which is not pleasant, harsh and astringent, herbal-citrusy. Good start but bitterness profile ruins it.

Habja és színe a szokásos. Illata intenzív, tipikus apa-s. Íze fincsi, kesernyés, gyümölcsös, gyanta szinte semmi. Utóíze tartós, kesernyés, intenzív gyümölcsösséggel. Testes, de jól csúszó itóka.

Bottle. Muddy hazy orange colour with stable huge head off. Aroma of citus fruits, herbs. Taste is much more balanced like other single hop ales i have tasted. Lemons, pine, herbs, huge bitter finish. This beer shines, great

Poco aroma a lúpulo para ser Ipa. Correcto color, transparencia y carbónatacion. Sabor equilibrado con un final bastante seco ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Chestnut color, cloudy liquid, white head. Strawberry smell. Aroma of zest, earth, lemon. Very specific. Heavy bitter, light sour. Hoppy. Very good.

330ml bottle from Gallagher’s Beer World/El Irlandés. Pours a dark amber color with a small off white airy head that disappears quickly leaving only isolate bubbles. Weird! Aroma is earthy, woody and mossy, with notes of overripe peach, goldenberry, bitter orange, grapefruit, mango and rosehip. A little bit messy and quite diluted with some pervasive phenolic hints. It might be a bad bottle though it says bbd: Feb 2017. Taste is moderately bitter with some accompanying tartness. Fruity flavors dominate with even semi-sweet touches. Tropical and overripe fruits, oranges and even tart apples with a continuing earthy aura. Clearly not in the best shape or maybe a bad batch. Medium body, soft carbonation. Really disappointing and mediocre. Tomahawk hops did not shine at all here. Must re-rate a fresher one.
