33cl. Deep brown colour with one finger tan head. Nice retention. Roasted malts, citrus, lime and caramel in the aroma. Average carbonation and medium to full body. Taste is medium bitter with some citric notes and dry piny finish. Overall, a very good and balanced beer. gopherfan99 (1996) - Minnesota, USA - JAN 22, 2016
Bottle; pours nearly black with a beige head; aroma is citrus, roasted malt, pine, and a hint of floral notes; taste is roasted malt, citrus, and pine; very nice BIPA; definitely would have this one again FraekkeFyr87 (610) - - JAN 2, 2016
The aroma is full of hops, malt, citrus, pine, flowers, caramel, butter and roasted barley. The color is pitch black with a nice frothy brownish head. The taste is full of hops, citrus, peaches and apricot. The finish is long and bitter. A really nice beer! ogivlado (7942) - Zagreb, CROATIA - DEC 28, 2015
Bottled 330ml. -from Vrutak Zagreb. Almost black coloured, medium sized creamy brownish head, mild chocolate and hops in the nose. Slight roasted malt, peachy hoppy, mild chocolate and noticable alcohol with dry bitter finish. Decent BIPA but "something" is missing to be great. On tap, Craft Room, Zagreb. Poured an almost black cola body with a thick greyish tan head. Citric aroma hop aroma with sweet malty undertones. Medium body, citric and piney aroma hop notes on top of a solid herbal bitterness, really fresh. Balanced really, very good BIPA.

On tap. Dark brown almost black color with medium head. Aromas of pine, grapefruit with some chocolate, dates and roast. Flavor is very much like aroma profile. Great balance between hops and body: bitter but still sweet. Also great balance between dark malts and hops: hops doesn?t overpower chocolate flavors. Flavorful beast. Medium-full body. Not so dry finish as I expected. Overall: really nice one. DerGantzel (445) - Aarhus, DENMARK - DEC 21, 2015
Fresh hoppy aroma besides aroma of roasty malts, with notes of chocolate. Black unclear liquid, white head. Medium sweet and medium bitter for the style. Soft carbonation, full body, creamy texture. DominikDraak (14) - Rijeka, CROATIA - DEC 21, 2015
Bottle at home. Pours a pitch black colour with a huge beige head which relatively quickly disappears. Typical IPA aromas are bursting after pouring. The beer smells citrusy, piney, herbal and floral at first, but after a few minutes the malty, roasty, coffee and chocolate aromas are coming out. The flavours is dominated by citrus and coffe, with a malty backbone and notes of chocolate, herbs, lemon... The body is medium with a long dry bitter hoppy finish.
Overall: A scholar example of how a black IPA should taste. A hop explosion covered with a smooth malty backbone and balanced with roasted coffe and chocolate flavours. One of the top black IPA on the market and another great brew from Mikkeller. rekvium (426) - Odense C, DENMARK - DEC 9, 2015
From tap. Pours black with an off white head. Aroma of light roasted malts, fresh citrus forward hops, seems very clean, very light hint of licorice. Taste is licorice, very slight soy, citrus fruits, floral, roasted notes. Light sweet finish, no signs of the 7,3%. DonKromann (112) - DENMARK - DEC 7, 2015
