Bar. Murky brownish amber colour with small head. Aroma is fruits, some acidic and tart fruits, sour wood and mild notes of caramel. Flavour is fruits, red berries, wood and some mild tartness as well. Mild alcoholic burn as well.
Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen on two consecutive nights Dark brown, no head. Cherryish nose with plenty of acidity. Sweet, despite the acidity with dense full body. Sour carameland sweet syrup. Feels heavy and compact. peppery alcohol plays a significant part and adds further burn to the stinging sourness. A beer with everything at once, yet not much complexity. A very interesting experment, but I don’t know what to do with such a beer. A tough beer to rate - like no other beer I’ve tasted, but in the end I figure I just don’t like it. skortila (5801) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - MAY 20, 2010
On tap @ Mikkeller bar. The aroma is winey and has raisins, plums, grapes, black currant. Brown-reddish coloured beer with no head. The taste is sour, winey, sweet and fruity. Medium bodied. Very complex. Never tasted such a wine/beer. Mindblowing. thewolf (12535) - Kolding, DENMARK - MAY 17, 2010

Pours muddy brown with a small, frothy, off-white head that soon fizzes away. Aroma is crazy! Plums, red apple, sourness, blue grapes, tannins, black currants, oak. High carbonation, great dry and light mouthfeel. Flavour has lots of sweetness, caramel. But also lives up to its name, black currant tartness, very vinious, almost menthol-like, raisins, grapes. Almost out of proportion and difficult to compare to anything, let alone the RB scale. Fabolous, but also crazy as f..k.
Tap @ Mikkeller Bar. Reddish black, beige rim, no head. intriguing aroma of both leather, tar and smoke, folowed by a taste with a tartnes, some wet dirt and forrset berries. Not at all knowing wahat´s going on here, the brew stries me as a Imp. Stout on a Marsala trip. Very complex and extremly interesting. phredrik (1024) - Copenhagen (formerly Aalborg), DENMARK - MAY 12, 2010

Big body, medium, fizzy carbonation, long duration.
This is a massive beer. It tastes and smells like a mix of rum, port wine and red wine. Indeed different from anything else I’ve tried. Goes to your head very quickly. saxo (18208) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - MAY 11, 2010
Tap. No head. Color is ruby. Aroma and taste are nice and sour, with spicy notes. Similar to gluhwein. KnutAlbert (6754) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 10, 2010
Is it a beer? IS it a plane? No, it’s Mikkeller again. Noe carbonation, lots of sweetness, vinous sour palate. I don’t know if this is an experiment or it was intended this way. Keep them coming! chrisv10 (17307) - DENMARK - MAY 10, 2010
