RexTalionis (3729) - FINLAND - FEB 16, 2017
Bottle. Dark red in color with a pink looking head. Bit of some tart cherries at first in aroma, also sweetish almonds and bit of vanilla spicyness. Quite nice. Cherries and notes of red wine in taste. Some funky notes are present as well. Sweetness and hints of malts later on. Wooden notes too. Tasty on the whole with a quite tart and dry finish.

Nocturne (1992) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - OCT 13, 2016

neongolden (1611) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 7, 2016
(375ml bottle shared @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Sept 26 2016) Pours extremely dark ruby coloured with a small pink head that faded rapidly without lace. Aroma is dark sweet/black cherry flesh, cherry pits, marzipan, oak, nutty fortified wine, sweet notes. Flavour is similarly black cherry juice, oaky, meaty sort of big bodied red wine, sherry, cherry pits, lightly sweet and a touch tart, with a long finish of cherry flesh and nutty, oaky notes. Semi-dry astringent aftertaste. Medium bodied, subtle carbonation, elegant. Not sour or even very tart, thanks both to the cherries used and the barrels, but very wine like. Nice sipper.

Koelschtrinker (20242) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - SEP 30, 2016
Spritzig kirschiger, angenehm mild säuerlicher Antrunk. Leicht holzig im Mittelteil, mittellanger Nachhall. Rund, kurzer Nachhall. 10/11/11/10/10/11

Zlotta (3207) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - SEP 30, 2016
Sampled from 0.375 l bottle. Clear, dark ruby with a pinkish head. Sourish, slightly fruity and a little funky aroma of cherries, almond, raspberries and some oak. Slightly sourish, moderately fruity and slightly funky taste of cherries, almond, oak and raspberries, followed by a medium long, slightly tart and moderately dry finish. Thin to medium body, moderately astringent and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice, but I liked the two other versions better.

markextrae (4410) - Alingsås, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - JUL 14, 2016
bottle shared with a friend, side by side with the chardonnay edition, the both poured a beautiful deep purple colour with a nice dark purple head on top. nose is basicly the same as base, but this versions adds an extra layer of sweetness of desert wine, which imo is not needed in a lambic-style soured beer. both brews are just filled with cherries, these few years on made this beer a beast. glad i found them online, fairly expensive but they are worth every pennie. amazing!

ciocanelu (2465) - Timisoara, ROMANIA - JUN 22, 2016
Dark ruby color with pink head. Aroma is really smooth with nice cherry, cherry pits, sherry, doesn’t seem tart. Taste is also really balanced and complex. I get cherry juice, not really sour, just slightly tart, also slightly bitter with cherry pits flavor. The barrel aging adds just a slight complexity and sweetness but it’s not very evident. Medium body with soft carbonation and smooth mouthfeel. This might be my favorite from the series so far. I will definitely try the other BA version as well.
