Bottle poured into a teku. The beer is a dark purple with a pinkish head of foam. roma is rich cherries and musty dry red wine. Funky and fruity. Big cherry notes. Medium body and medium carbonation. The best Spontan beer pf the series I have tried to date.

Faathoven (101) - Barcellona P.G., ITALY - DEC 7, 2016
Pours clear deep purple with dark pink frothy head. Aroma of dark cherries, funk, earth, some citric note. Flavour of dark cherries upfront, then comes the sour, pungent and sharp. Some grassy and citrus notes in the finish mixed with cherries again. Tingly carbonation, medium body, oily texture. This is the first and only cherry sour beer in which I can distinctly get the cherries, and in which the tart is very well balanced with the sweetness of the cherries. My favourite sour beer by far.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep ruby purple with a light pink head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a cherry wine note with a good amount of dryness and a slight earthiness. Flavor is strong cherry with some light oak and a bit of funk underlying.

Bottle thanks to deyholla. Deep reddish purple pour with a purple head. Nose is very vibrant - loads of cherry meat. Cherry wine. Oak. Flavor is sweet, tannic and earthy. Nice combination of oak, pepper, cherry meat. Medium body, active carb. Great.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 1/21/2026. Pours hazy very dark ruby red/purple color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy dark pink head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of huge sweet/sour red/black cherries, cranberry, raspberry, lemon, green apple, currant, red grape, almond, vanilla, oak, pepper, light red wine vinegar/funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Fantastic aromas with awesome complexity and balance of cherries, fruity/acidic yeast, and oak barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of huge sweet/sour red/black cherries, cranberry, raspberry, lemon, green apple, currant, red grape, almond, vanilla, oak, pepper, light red wine vinegar/funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/acidic tartness and yeast/tannic oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of red/black cherries, cranberry, raspberry, lemon, green apple, currant, red grape, almond, vanilla, oak, pepper, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of cherries, fruity/acidic yeast, and oak barrel flavors; with an awesome sweet/tartness balance; and zero astringent/puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from acidity/tannins, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/acidic/tannic, and slightly slick/syrupy balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Alcohol is fairly well hidden, a mild warmth lingers after the finish. Overall this is an incredible kriek lambic! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of cherries, fruity/acidic yeast, and oak barrel flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modest acidity. There has to be an insane amount of cherries in this beer, just based on the color. A really amazing offering all around.
