Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. Jedno z mniej udanych w tej serii, a i tak bardzo dobre.

18/20 Easily the nicest sour I’ve ever had. Sourness is quickly overwhelmed by the juiciness of the fruit (like cherries) with a huge oak aftertaste. Has the depth of flavour and complexity of a great wine.

375 ml bottle, best by date of 27/01/25 printed on the label. Served in a tulip, the beer pours a mostly clear reddish/purple color with about an inch and a half pink head. Head retention is good, and there’s a small amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like berries (which I guess are the chokeberries), wood and some funkiness. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there’s also some vinegar and earthy flavors noticeable too. Good tart, fruity and earthy taste overall. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit coating with a good amount of carbonation. I thought it was an enjoyable brew, I wouldn’t mind trying it again in the future.

shared bottle. Deep purple, moderate vinegar and fruit both in aroma and taste. Good but not great, as are many in this line.

37.5cl bottle from the Mikkeller webshop, London. It pours a clean deep purple color with a small pink head. Aroma is tart and lightly funky with plenty of cherry pulp, cherry pit, juniper berries, wood, light funk. Taste is also rich juicy fruity with a medium tang and acidic note. More cherries, almonds, juniper berries, wood, lemon juice. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Overall, really tasty and complex these chokeberries

KRS 311215. Red deep golden colour with a pinkish white head. Aroma and flavour is yeast, berries, lemon, caramel, funk. Too intense with the berries. Weird.

On tap at Cafe Sara, march 20th 2015. Dark red bodu with a small white rim. Aroma of cherries, acidic funk. Taste is astringent, cherry and tones of coffee, lactic finish. Sour dry aftertaste.

pours unclear bright red-purple with a small pinkish cap offering minimal retention and lacing. fresh berries, red grapes - pinot noir’s earthy/spiciness,; dried solid jam, complex flora - bit of funk in there; purple matter, smooth and gentle wood; light to medium acidity, spices - cinnamon, christmas pot-pourri. moderate carbonation, light body, woodsy, tart and fruity-herbal-spicy finish. a very good one in this series.
