Poured a darkish red color with a massive foam head that took forever to die down. Aroma of cherries, oak, vanilla, spices. Taste was INCREDIBLY bitter, sour, and funky. I spent $8.50 CAD on a bottle and poured it out after 3 mouthfuls. Will stick to Liefmans Cuvee Brut - where the brewers actually know how to properly age beer in wood and correctly balance the ingredients and flavors. tom10101 (6297) - Quebec, CANADA - JAN 8, 2014
Bottle (375 ml). Bright burgundy with a medium mostly lasting off-white head and little lacing. Aroma is of cherries, light funk, light spices, cheesy notes and wood. Taste is of cherries, light spices, mild funk and light herbal finish. Light to medium body. Medium to good carbonation. Slightly dry finish. This is a really good authentic Kriek. Great balance. Really fruity. Not extremely complex, but more than enough to be enjoyable. Another nice one from the Mikkeller Spontan series. JStax (7318) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - DEC 30, 2013
Small format bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a darker red with a pinkish head of foam. Aroma is funky and acidic with plenty of cherry influence. It tastes more like the wood it was aged in than anything. Lots of vanilla influence. Medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. yngwie (17284) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 28, 2013
Bottle, 375ml. It’s a dark red beer producing a pinkish white head of two finger height. The aroma has artificial cherry, cherry pits and almond. Some lemon hints in the flavor, else it’s the same almond, cherry pits and artificial cherry found in the aroma. It’s dry and lightly tart in the mouth, pleasantly carbonated. A pleasant and tasteful one, but I’d rather pop a Payottenlan kriek. 130607 jbruner (5470) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - DEC 9, 2013
Pours a murky red from the bottle with fluffy off-white head that leaves nice webbing. Aroma is funky yeast, wood, musky grapes, slight tart cherry and sweet fruit. Taste is a little less impressive, but it’s all still there. Quickly tart middle, ends funky and dry, medium carbonation. This is pretty damn good.

Bottle: Poured a reddish color Lambic with a large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma consists of tart cherry notes with light woody notes. Taste is also dominated by tart cherries notes with some woody notes and some light funky notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not as funky as some of its Belgian cousin but very well brewed with good amount of complexity and well balanced acidity level. andrewturba (1190) - Alberta, CANADA - NOV 17, 2013
Pours a cloudy pink with a large pink head that lasts and has good legs. Aroma is sour cherries, brettanomyces, vinegar like, overall mildly funky. Flavour is sour cherry, funky oak, brettanomyces, moderately acidic(not sure if that’s like a common lactic acid in beers), and kind of a citrus like touch(mostly lemon). Not too well versed in lambics and I’m not sure if this is a great example but I found it to be enjoyable. beechner224 (1024) - Melbourne, Florida, USA - NOV 15, 2013
Bottle. Aroma is sour, tart, color is ruby red. Taste follows with sour. Thanks to face for sharing. JulienHuxley (5985) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 9, 2013
Bottle. Clear red pour, with a nice light pink head, very pretty. Nice fruity cherry aroma, light vanilla notes, very mild funk. Taste is tart, with sweet cherry notes, a tad medicinal (cough syrup), rather authentic lambic acidity. Palate is quite dry, a tad undercarbed. Good stuff. This Lambic pours a hazy ruby red color with a thick foamy pinkish-white head that fizzes away steadily. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Cherries and malt in the nose. Medium-bodied with a tart cherry character and notes of grass, wheat and malt. The finish is mildly sour with a cherry aftertaste. Decent overall.
