Great lambic, the sour currant and berry flavors along with the brettanomyces funk and the souring bacteria. Extremely dry, carbonated taste that has a mouth puckering sourness after the finish. It also packs a decent punch for a lambic at 7% Alusmamuts (1984) - LATVIA - JAN 17, 2013
Cloudy amber color with white foam. Sour lambic taste with certain (white?) courrant notes. Refreshing taste,

Bottle… This beer rocks!… Hazy amber ale with a small, wispy, white head. Excellent retention. The bouquet offers funky cheese, earthy currants and fruity black cherries. Full-bodied and creamy with airy carbonation. The flavor is sour and funky; super acidic and fruity. Finishes tart and fairly dry. Absolutely delicious! Bottle. Hazy deep amber with pinkish head. Aroma is slightly sour, fresh red berries and some wheat. Taste is pretty sour but with some sweetness to back it. Notes include barnyard, red currant, wood and cranberries. Really nice MPA (999) - Amager (form. Nørrebro&Aalborg), DENMARK - FEB 6, 2016

Hazy reddish/orange with a small head.
Nice and tart aroma of berries, oak and some "earth". Incredible refreshing and good taste of sour berries, wood and "earth". Very nice mouth feel. I think that this one was even tastier than Cantillon Blåbær that we tried earlier the same evening.

Bottle from Brewdog Bar Aberdeen. It pours pink-amber, with a quickly dissipating fizzy white head and high carbonation. The nose is redcurrant, red apple, strawberry, sweet pear, burnt wood and leather. The taste is full of redcurrant, lemon, sour green apple, red wine, sweet strawberry, unripe cranberry, a touch of vinegar, wood and brilliant lip-smacking sourness, with a very long tart redcurrant finish. I’m a big fan of the humble redcurrant, so this one ticks all the boxes for me. Awesome. 77ships (9834) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - NOV 27, 2013
375 ml. bottle procured from De Hopduvel in Gent & split with Kraddel + Kogymo. BBF 09/05/2021. Pours a hazy fox bordeaux amber with a shade of purple, colour is pretty hard to note in this one with almost instantly gone head. Head is/was pinkish/purple. Nose carries some pretty nice lambic & barn funk, lots of acidic lemon, tart lemons with some red grapes that could be identified as redcurrant but seems very unspecific with lots of musty red grape skins. Taste is tart lemon, lower funk than in the nose but still there, getting lots & lots of red grape skins, way more than red berries (could be redcurrant, could not be, pretty general), plenty of red wine, old red wine barrels, light glühwein spices in the back, nicely musty with plenty of lemon acidity in the back. Lively carb. which works well. Pretty solid stuff, could use a touch more complexity considering the style but pretty enjoyable still. raoulvos (20) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 7, 2014

4 oz draft pour at ChurchKey. Clear dark amber with off-white head. Aromas of berries, tart notes, vinegar, oak. Tastes of berries, citrus, floral notes, big tart notes, vinegar, wine. Medium body with a dry finish. Probably my favorite of the Spontan beers I’ve tried.
