375 ml. bottle @ home. Procured from De Hopduvel in Gent. BBF 09/07/2023. Pours a hazy – touch darker than expected – orange & a white head which doesn’t last. Nose is huge on the funk, reminding me a bit of the Hanssens geuze, this is the first variant to truly smell like lambic to me, barn, raw funk, hay, funky berries, big & complex in all the right ways in all of those aspects. Tartness is definitely there & works wonderfully with the huge funk, tart green fruits & barn. Taste is definitely the most complex of the series so far for me & first true lambic in taste. Old lemon peel, tart green fruits (I do not know how Seabuckthorn tastes like), HUGE funk, barn, raw, sour, white pepper, hint vinegar, this is sour but in a good way, carrying the right balance, old rotting wood, big horseblanket, lemon juice, tart berries getting to me, young apples, citric. With a substantial hay, peppery & light brett body. Easily the most impressive one of the fruit ones so far, incredible how far they have come so quickly, this fits amongst the better Belgian ones flawlessly. This is how all future entries need to be like. The sourness quite gets to you after in a while but in a good way, this is real sourness with complexity & balance. chimpgibbon (552) - London, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 18, 2013
Ga fa gu gu gee. Bottle at brewdog shoreditch. Unbelievably sour and dry this is simply genius genius genius. Makes last night’s rodenbach seem cloyingly sweet. Funky as hell muddy dark yellow. Grows in your mouth! Sour then sourer, god damn this the sourest beer I ever had. Those vivid spiky berries sure done good. Up there. Buongiorgio00 (934) - - MAY 22, 2014
Oh olivello spinoso quanto sei goloso! Acidità tagliente che strega da subito il palato, sfumatura leggera di bacche e di frutta, buona persistenza. Personalità d’eccezione! Stupenda! badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - NOV 12, 2013
On tap. Hazy dark orange with a creamy off white head. Nice strong floral sour apple and sour grape aroma with lemon notes. Very bright and lively palate. Tastes of rose, lemon, caramel, green apple, and grape with subtle oaky notes. Excellent.

Definitely pine. Damn weird and damn good! Ps. 2000 ratings motherfuckerssssssss EdKing (2574) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 15, 2013
Bottle shared by teorn88 at the Craft Islington. Colour is pale yellow with a large white bubbly head. Nose is big big wild sour berries, apricot, funky, farmyard. Taste is an intense berry sour, tongue tingling. Its raw, its sour, its awesome. The buckthorn is one hell of a bitter, sour fruit, but this just totally works. Had this at Max's Yap room in Baltimore. Pours a hazy golden. Very light and crisp. Very refreshing. Grapefruit and citrus. Mild funkiness but overall great beer. KUEric (975) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - APR 14, 2014
A little non-hop bitter finishing lambic, from one of my all-time favorite brewers should be a big win. Let’s see...
Smells of a pretty standard lambic with some pear/green apple notes and it has a slightly bitter bite at the end in an almost spicy way kind of. A very interesting beer -aren’t all lambics? Tart like a lambic normally is. Delicious.
