A love of American microbrews is the inspiration behind this IPA, brewed with generous amounts of aromatic, American hops, which provide the significant freshness and bitterness with lots of citrus notes. The taste sensations are nicely balanced by the sweetness from the caramel malt.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pilsner, munich and caramunich), flaked oats, hops (chinook, cascade and amarillo) and ale yeast.

Can. Tropical fruits, mango mostly, some citrus. Meaty and thick, yet not extremely heavy. Crisp carbonation carrying the fruit forward. Sweet mango finish. Highly drinkable, too. Yum!

Clear amber color, small off-white head. Little bit of gas (?), mostly hops and peach aroma. Pretty high level of bitterness, hebal, grassy and fruity notes, very very nice. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Can sample at a Mikkeller tasting at Beer and Beyond, Tel Aviv. Slightly hazy golden-orange with beige head. The aroma has notes of citrus (orange, mandarin) and some graininess. Bitter flavor with notes of citrus (orange), some caramel and grains, grassy, creamy, a bit alcoholic, dry. Medium-bodied.

Alengrin (4814) - BELGIUM - JUL 29, 2016
From a can at the Struise shop in Bruges. Lacing, snow white, irregular, moussy head, cloudy amber robe with red-brownish hue. Aroma of tangerine, pink grapefruit, biscuit, hemp, pine resin, candied mango, minerals, stale sweat, mandarins. Crisp fruity onset, mango, mandarin and passion fruit impressions, fleshy and juicy with medium amount of carbonation just fit for the style, caramelly and biscuity malt sweetness in the middle, long hoppy finish providing a lot of retronasal citrus, mango and tropical flower aromas as well as drying, resinous but altogether soft bitterness. Nice, juicy, aromatic example of the style.

opalizujące, bursztynowe, bardzo obfita piana opada do pierzyny, ładnie zdobi szkło;
delikatny - owoce tropikalne, karmel, żywica;
ciało niskie, średnio nasycone, goryczkowy finisz;
karmel, cytrusy, żywica, delikatny alkohol, niska bardzo długa grejpfrutowo-alkoholowa goryczka;
piwo na pł gwizdka, aromat delikatny, smak też, jest bardzo pijalne, ale to raczej przez jego nijakość.

muzzlehatch (4901) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 16, 2016
Un-Muzzling Olde Muzzlehatch Ratings, #6. 500 ml bottle from sum likker stoer in Vermont, sampled on Nov 25 2008 in a now-departed or lost Allagash glass (sniff) while reading the 5th Harry Potter book on my porch in the cold. A massive, creamy - whipped cream, almost - head lasts and lasts, leaving fine irregular lacing atop a lightly oily, translucent amber/brass body... a bright, ripe-fruity aroma, apples and cherries amidst resinous hops, perhaps a bit too sugary-caramelly but still solid...sweet, lightly oxidized body, a bit too syrupy and full for my taste but very drinkable and strong-flavored, a bit of cigarette ash near the finish is surprisingly not unpleasing, hop oiliness dominates at the end but the final touch of bitterness is subdued...perhaps slightly undercarbonated given the oiliness; I feel that perhaps this bottle was just a bit older than it should have been. Solid despite the faults in any case.
