Bottle at Mikkeller Bar, May 2012. (the bottle cost 200 DKK)
Dark brown with a small head. The aroma was rather heavy and complex with a lot of malt, fruit, some plums and dust. The taste was vinous and sweet with toffee, dried fruit, yeast, malt and notes of alcohol. A very nice beer that I never though that I would try.

Mikkeller bar, maj 2012: Mycket vinös doft, ganska söt med tydliga kolatoner, malt och socker samt trevliga mogna bär. Mycket stabil. kappldav123 (6100) - GERMANY - MAY 15, 2012
Huge thanks to yespr for that bottle! Never thought I would get a chance to try that rare beer. Bottle looks very simple, small label. Beer in the glass brown, small head. Fiery-malty aroma. Starts very strong, intense malty, a bit dusty-old. Quite fiery alcoholic, but not too much. Some fruity hints of plum. Fiery finish, goes down burning. Probably already a bit past its prime, but still an awesome beer! Thanks again yespr for the bottle! Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - MAY 11, 2012
Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this at his 10,000th rating tasting.
The beer pours a brown color with a white head. The aroma has some toffee and cherry notes, as well as some sherry characteristics. The flavor is just not that great to me. I get the same toffee and sherry notes as I got in the aroma, with some oak and vanilla also added. All of that being said, there is something going on in the flavor which I am having a hard time describing but doesn’t sit right with me. It adds a dirty quality and ruins the beer for me. Since no one else at the tasting seemed to get it, I assume it is not a flaw, but just something in the beer I don’t like. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. blutt59 (6564) - Dallas, Texas, USA - APR 20, 2012

A part of the mastodont beer dinner hosted by Mielcke & Hurtigkarl featuring Mikkeller and Struise. This one went in as the seventh Mikkeller beer and was served to a pumpkin ice cream dessert next to the Struise Tsjeeses reserva. The pour was dark redish with a tiny tanned head, The aroma is clearly influenced by De Dolle, and you can find the unique belgian notes that they always have. It has vanilla and clean laqurice that almost reminds me of the kind of cough medicine I got as a kid. The taste is suprmely round with a soft, smooth and plesant palate with a huge long finish with traces of dried fruits like raisins. Traces of almonds, wooden notes and a mild feeling of alcohol is in the picture too.
A super complex beer that is very balanced. The finish has a mild warmth from the alcohol.
