kappldav123 (6148) - GERMANY - MAR 25, 2011
From bottle at ACBF 2011. Deep black in the glass, small head. Starts heavy-malty, light hints of vanilla, a bit sweet. Then more and more sharp, really sharp finish, modest alcoholic-dry. Great beer!

38cl, new exclusive Danish brew Anno 2011, with chili peppers, vanilla- and cocoa beans, from Brouwerij de Molen Bodegraven, complex spicy Porter, not too heavy, yet balanced, hazy, good head, very good brew, but very expensive, yet original!

Bottle courtesy of ye ol’ rotbox. Bought at beermerchant some years ago. Pours oily pitch black with a creamy and fizzy dark chocolate brown head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty and spicy with roasted malts, cocoa nibs, dark roast coffee, liquorice fudge, chipotle peppers, charred wood, vanilla, african birds eye chili, carmelized almonds, moist hay and hints of roasted green bell peppers. Taste is slightly sweet, slightly bitter, malty and spicy with roasted malts, bitter chocolate, burnt caramel, charred wood, chipotle peppers, dark roast coffee, cinnamon, hay, moist soil, coconut shells, vanilla fudge, crème brûlée and hints of salty liquorice hard candy. Mouthfeel is soft, silky, tiny watery, spicy hot and medium bodied. Finish is bitter, malty and spicy with roasted malts, bitter chocolate, dark roast coffee, chipotle peppers, moist soil, burnt wood, vanilla beans and hints of alcohol. Exciting version of a solid, yet hot, base beer.

Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - MAR 7, 2011
Bottle at ACBF 2011. Black pour with a glowing tan head. Aroma of wood, twigs, forest and chocolate. Flavor is very strange, forest, chilies, chocolate and with a burning finish.

dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - MAY 15, 2011
Aroma is deep chocolate, cacao, barrel, wood, spice, tobacco, etc. Flavour is woody, muddy chocolate, barrel, spice, spicy peppers, lingering for quite a bit. Very weird, but in a good way.
