Burned platic and toast nose with prunes. Mahogany, thin beige head. Intense toasty flavor with mulberries. Sourwood and chili pepper at midpalate. Creosote finish. Soft carbonation. Hitting on all pointsd as usual for Mikkeller. 750ml bottle that I scored for $7 which s good because I would not have bought it at $14. Looks like your standard porter, black with a decent head. Smells slightly like a porter but here come the chipotles, uh oh....The flavor is overwhelming, straight chipotle peppers and adobo sauce smothering the porter to death. Both me and my friend found this to be very one dimensional. It wasn’t gross but it wasn’t tasty either,

Tap at Belg Aube Roppongi. Dark brown, dark golden small bubbly head. Looks dangerous and dirty. Aroma is roasty, lots of coffee bitterness, lots of spicy chilli. Taste is nice, coffee bitter initially, spice creeps up at the end to a full on chilli taste. Slightly smoky. Long spice and smoke finish. Got a real bite to it. Exactly what I needed at this stage, a few drinks down the line. But one was definitely enough.

Bottle poured a deep black with an enormous mocha head that dissapated slowly leaving intense lacing. Aroma includes roasted malt, smoke, and pepper. Taste begins with coffee and roasted malt before bakers chocolate is introduced leading to a peppery finish with slight chipotle burn on the throat. Nice mouthfeel with smokiness and relatively intense chipotle flavor/burn lingering. Chipotle should have been better balanced (e.g., Stone 11/11/11 blending green chili). Pours black with a thick brown head. Very strong aroma of chocolate and roasted malts. Great flavour. chocolate toasted barley and coffee, all slowly melding together into a very smokey cpicy finish. Fastastic.
