3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours deep brown with a luxuriant tan head. Coffee and a bit of spice on the nose. Deep rich chocolate flavour, a gritty coffee undertaste and a lot of chilli kicks through immediately. The chilli lingers, rolling around with an almost Irish coffee sensation to create something quite unique. Delicious. Each mouthful is fascinating, from the lathering chocolate to the roasted chilli. A "special" beer though, wouldn’t choose it for everyday drinking, however.
Aroma; roasted malts, nuts, herbs n spices, liquorice.
Look; pale brown head, black body.
Taste; roasted malts, chilipepper (chipotle), herbs n spices, chocolate, coffee, nut,
and finishes peppery spicy.
Feel; solid body, very peppery, soft co2.
Overall; final sipper as the last sipper that evening, chipotle sticks to palate.

Cola black beer with a big dark beige foam. Hard to smell, some roastiness and liquorice on the nose. Roasted coffee and some sweet liquorice again in the taste. Light bodied but not too watery. Some chipotle bite but tastewise not my favorite. the_beergery (115) - - NOV 13, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 13, 2017 Bottle as a Chipotle Porter. Appearance is dark and opaque, with a bit of persistent tan sticky froth. Aromas are muted, but mainly roasted malts and coffee. Taste bursts out as coffee and malts initially with some sweetness, followed by fire breathing chillis through to a long finish. Nice full body, with slick sensation. Liked the way way the flavours are distinct without being all buried in a ball of flaming chilli! mR_fr0g (13475) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 11, 2017

9Nov2017 Intense dark toasted malts, chocolate, cacao. Hazy, very dark brown, medium, creamy, beige head. Light bitter. More dark malts, dark chocolate, chilli, cacao, dark coffee, soft carbonation, full bodied. Decent, but could be more on the chilli. Bottle shared at Leighton's - thanks to madmitch76!

Had this before, rated it, but the rating disappeared. That was Texas Ranger. This is an alias - Chipotle Porter. Is this correct? E-mail me the correction at [email protected]
Thanks. 0.33 l bottle shared with Višnja 666. Very dark brown to black. Medium diminishing brown head. Very roasty. Spices. Licorice, dried fruits. Burnt. Very dry, nice spicy character, hot. Some charred wood. Very thick, full body, moderate carbonation, spicy finish. It's very nice, but I liked it better the first time.
From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours black with fine brown foam. Aroma is dark chocolate, some coffee, spicy, though not intense. Body is dense, with some stickiness and limited carbonation. Taste has a tid of sweetness, but that is immediately overcharged by an intense spiciness from the chipotle peppers. The latter dominates the long finish as well.
