Courtesy of ericandersnavy. As Mikkeller Chipotle Porter. In a snifter. Pours black with a 3 finger dark tan lacey/clingy head. 3 fingers in a snifter? And 2 fingers of beer! I don’t know what to say. My nose says food. Like Chipotle Tabasco. If you haven’t had that, get it . Full bodied with foamy carbonation. Flavor is chipotle tar. Or chipotle linoleum paste ( got to go back aways to get that one). I just whacked a hanbero sausage in the atomic atomizer, and I think it will go well with this. It’s not chewy, but seems like it wants to be. It’s hot. Not excessively so. But the heat does build a bit. So this is coffee/chipotle? Best I can do. Smooth. Burnt toast. But primarily chili. In the end it develops noticeable chili heat. My scalp is expressing water in response. This may not be super high on the Scoville scale, but it is on the scale. Keg at CP&K. It pours near black with a light tan head. The nose is roasted malt, light smoke, chilli, dark chocolate and earth. The taste is charcoal, tar, earth, roasted malt, light chilli spice, smoke, charcoal, toast, coffee grinds and mild acidity. Medium-full body and moderate carbonation. Smooth, good depth of flavour and well balanced. Well done. djd07 (15342) - Houston, Texas, USA - NOV 6, 2010
On tap at Flying Saucer. Pours a dark brown with a small tan head that lasts awhile leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a smoky roasted malt. Medium mouthfeel with a spicy malt and chocolate and a nice smoky finish. Easy to drink, a very good spice from Mikkeller. Ratman197 (15220) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - JAN 9, 2011

Bottle sample at a tasting at Stas’s place. Thanks Stas & Vova. Black with a nice brown head. Strong aroma of roast and lots of chili peppers, somewhat vegetal, coffee and a bit of smoke. Roasty flavor with some sweetness, smoke, coffee, a bit of chocolate, some vegetal peppers and and mildly hot finish. Medium to full-bodied. Tmoney99 (14863) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 23, 2012
Bottle. Poured hazy dark brown color with a large frothy light brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted malt, wood and smoke aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted smoke malt bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where exceeded.
