enjoyed during 2011 RBWG pours brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is smoke, caramel, vegetal notes. Flavor is carmale malt sweetness with a nice peppery finish and chilli pepper flavor.

Rather impressive, the porter element of thing definitely holds up the front end with some slightly smokey, roasted/chocolate malt sweetness, and the finish has some lingering spice that turns up a notch after a bit. It gets to be a bit too spicy, and I say this as someone who has eaten ghost chilies and whole habanero peppers. Still very good, but glad I had 2 friends to share with.

750 ml. bottle- Pours pitch black with a nice creamy mocha tan head and spiderweb lacing, beautiful beer. The aroma is very chocolatey with a spiciness in the background, peppery. The flavor is peppery up front, followed by chocolate, then smoky peppers (chipotles) and wood, very interesting. There is a definite jalapeno burn, especially in the back of the throat, this is one of the most interesting beers I have had in a long time, very experimental. The body is thick like chocolate milk, carbonation is low, finish is long, and spicy. Overall I havent had a beer that I was blown away like this in a long time, a winner for sure, or to quote Charlie Sheen "Winning". Loved it.

750 ml bottle from WLV Liquors. Thick black with a creamy beige head. Chipolte nose burnt malts sweet smoky BBQ aroma. A good amount of that sweet BBQ smoky chipolte aroma. Chipolte sweet chocolate roasted malt flavors. Alcohol seems too apparent for 6.6%, too sweet, oddly bitter and ashy. I guess I like my habenero sauce, but this could use a bit more of a kick. 7/4/7/4/14

Bottle from LCBO. Figs and dark fruit dominate the aroma. Super dark black. Taste of dark fruit, roasted grains, chocolate, and light smoke. Well balanced with a burn at the back of your throat. Thick full body. Quite good.

Tasted from bottle with grateful thanks to sunevdj. It was very kind of him to bring me this all the way from Denmark and greatly appreciated. Deep, dark black with just the slightest touch of a russet colour in the dimple with a coffee coloured head that sat thickly to the sides of the glass. Smells deeply of chocolate malt, molasses and coffee with just a hint of green chilli there. In the mouth it is thick, viscous, oily and silky and after the first sophisticated chocolate malt flavour theres a fiery onslaught of chilli heat. It isnt overwhelming, but you know its there. Black coffee starts to come to the party along with a gentle fizz that makes itself known. The mature dark flavours and the chilli endure for an age. A remarkable beer and one Ill remember.

Cervesa amb bastant gust torrat al inici, per al poc temps apareix el picant, molt interessant. Cerveza con bastante sabor tostado al inicio, pero al poco tiempo aparece el picante, muy interesante.

Bottle. Pours a thick dark heavy black pour, with a massive java head. Nose is peppery, malty with notes of chocolate and roasted coffee. Taste is slightly peppery, but no real heat. Taste is sweet with notes of heavy malt and subtle coffee. Finish is sweet with mild heat and a moderately long finish. Drinks easy. Quaff Score 7 / 10
