Bottle. Black body with large smooth brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, smoke and hints of chilli. Taste is first chocolate with smoke and hints of caramel and some chilli. Very smooth and creamy mouth feel. Aftertaste is first sweet roasted malts balanced by some bitterness and later on it gets hot. This was the first beer with chilli I enjoyed a little bit.

Pours pitch black with brown medium head. Aroma of coffee, spices, liquorice and burned grass. Taste of chocolate, espresso, wood, chili, pepper and smoke. Could be a little more chili in it to get more flavour than just a dry bitterness.

750 ml bottle from WLV Liquors. Thick black with a creamy beige head. Chipolte nose burnt malts sweet smoky BBQ aroma. A good amount of that sweet BBQ smoky chipolte aroma. Chipolte sweet chocolate roasted malt flavors. Alcohol seems too apparent for 6.6%, too sweet, oddly bitter and ashy. I guess I like my habenero sauce, but this could use a bit more of a kick. 7/4/7/4/14

Bottle. Pours a thick dark heavy black pour, with a massive java head. Nose is peppery, malty with notes of chocolate and roasted coffee. Taste is slightly peppery, but no real heat. Taste is sweet with notes of heavy malt and subtle coffee. Finish is sweet with mild heat and a moderately long finish. Drinks easy. Quaff Score 7 / 10

Kita (2072) - Koper, SLOVENIA - SEP 5, 2014
Bottle, 0.33l, shared with Hoppiness crew. Murky dark brown color with medium creamy light brown head and nice lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, dried fruits with some peppery hints. Taste starts with moderate sweet and rich roasted malt, follows by chocolate note and fruity acidity. When beer gets warmer chipotle chili peppers break loose and create warming and tingling spicy mouthfeel, while spiciness is still present in medium bitter aftertaste. Full body, syrupy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Above excellent...

JDBaker11058 (2071) - Maryland, USA - APR 28, 2012
Appearance: deep near-black with a huge, rocky, creamy dark tan head that very slowly shrank to a thick cap and collar, with generous lace rings. Aroma: strong notes of chocolate, a whiff of coffee, growing notes of pine as it warms, and some black pepper. Taste: dark bitter chocolate, followed by roasty (almost burnt) coffee and pine, with black pepper spice. Finish: slowly rising (but low-burning) chipotle heat, with a chalky-dry mouth. Notes: Awesome. Ive tried a handful of beers made with peppers (chipotles, acho chilis, etc) and this is by far the best and most nuanced. Its really just a great porter with some nice chipotle notes that add depth, spice, and adventure without overpowering or dominating the backbone of the beer. Incredible palate as well: smooth and creamy, almost like liquid velvet, which really lets the flavors shine and the peppers sparkle. Bottled as Chipotle Porter, bottle from the Perfect Pour in Columbia, Maryland.

Texas Ranger kaatuu lasiin mustana ja muodostaa ylleeen ruskean vaahdon. Nytt ntilt lasissa kauneine vaahtoineen. Tuoksussa on paahtunutta mallasta, suklaata ja kahvia. Maussa on hieman polttelevaa chili, paahtunutta mallasta, kahvia ja tummaa suklaata. Tss on mys kuivaa katkeruutta. Tm olut on tytt Chuck Norrisia.

Tasted from bottle with grateful thanks to sunevdj. It was very kind of him to bring me this all the way from Denmark and greatly appreciated. Deep, dark black with just the slightest touch of a russet colour in the dimple with a coffee coloured head that sat thickly to the sides of the glass. Smells deeply of chocolate malt, molasses and coffee with just a hint of green chilli there. In the mouth it is thick, viscous, oily and silky and after the first sophisticated chocolate malt flavour theres a fiery onslaught of chilli heat. It isnt overwhelming, but you know its there. Black coffee starts to come to the party along with a gentle fizz that makes itself known. The mature dark flavours and the chilli endure for an age. A remarkable beer and one Ill remember.
