Pours black, thick tan head which stays for a long time. slow lacing, aroma of dark bitter chocolate, caramel, coffee, roasted malt, cocoa and subtle smokiness. smooth texture, similar characters on the palate with more smoke and dry chilli spice on the finish. A perfect beer. Mind blowing. Alexus (242) - Stavanger, NORWAY - JAN 26, 2012
Tap @ Cardinal. The first thing that hit’s you when you drink this is: "WOW". and "wow" is how you best can explain this beer. It’s fantastic and it’s one of the best beers i’ve tasted so far. It’s a solid porter with notes of dark chocolate. After a while a subtle burn from the chilies begin to linger in the back of the throat. It’s a a pleasant burn. A great beer to experience! davestein1 (7) - San Francisco, California, USA - APR 21, 2014 does not count

Pours black and thick as tar. Dense tan head.
Aroma brings loads of coffee and toast.
Oily, very soft and creamy. Great balance between sour and bitter, very pleasant.
Long, very long finish, with a fantastic spicy after-taste (that chipotle chili pepper). Great. Blueshawk (465) - Bad Bellingen, GERMANY - SEP 3, 2016

Pours thick black, with a medium brown head, spotted lacing. Aroma of dark malts, chocolate and chili peppers. Taste feels the same, with lot of chocolate fudge, burning Chipotle chili peppers, roasted malts and mild coffee. Sweet, roasted and spicy hot, full bodied, a joy at every sip. A masterpiece, fantastic ale! Heathen (1500) - Wilmington, Delaware, USA - JUN 17, 2011
THOUGHTS: Actually quite spicy. Way more heat than I was expecting, but it never reached an unpleasant level. But I love hot stuff and this might be too much for some. It would go nice with some sausages. Rather complex. Would be great even without the peppers, but this was incredible and different.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a dark brown that was basically opaque black in the glass with a large, light brown head that mostly diminished, but kept a decent sheet and left excellent lacing. The aroma had moderate to heavy roasted malt, dark chocolate, cocoa, and chocolate milk; maple syrup; and hints of pepper and spice (but that might be my imagination.). The initial flavor was spicy, light to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, slightly bitter and slightly sour; while the finish was moderately sweet, lightly bitter, spicy, and lightly sour with a long duration, especially on the spices. There was chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, chocolate syrup, spicy peppers, dark chocolate, cocoa, slight burnt malt, a little dark fruit, sausage spices, caramel and sour coffee. The medium to full body was leaning toward full. It was silky and then a bit dry with soft yet tingly carbonation that intensified when the spice started to effect the tongue. It also had a dry and spicy finish. Hussey (60) - North Carolina, USA - JUL 12, 2012
20 cl tasting glass @ Mikkeller bar in Copenhagen, Denmark. Beautiful, chocolate brown pour with thin cocoa-tint head. Aroma of chocolate and heat (something is lurking in there). Almost like a paprika tingle to the nose. A fanatastic porter! Ideal temperature for imbibing . . . the beer has a velvety mouthfeel, coats the palate with a roasted, smokiness paired with the previously mentioned chocolate notes and then . . . the money shot. Boom! The pepper hits the back of the throat! I am in awe of this beer. Probably one of the most amazing beer experiences of my life. What can I say? I bought a 750 cl bottle and drank it when I got back to Sweden. Alusmamuts (1904) - LATVIA - DEC 15, 2012

Bottle picked up at StateLine. Label says Chipotle Porter: Intially shared by robert. This bottle was consumed at home. Pours into a snifter, oily black in color, great mocha colored two finger head. Looks like a stout. Aroma of smoke, light ash, earthy notes with some pepper/spiceyness. Taste is great, intially some chocolate and roasted malts hits the front of your palate, then a nice smokiness and ash comes through. Light coffee. Not sugary or sweet at all. But well balanced. Very smooth.... rolls right down the hatch. Then the after taste has strong smokiness, campfire with some smoked meats....earthy... with the perfect amount of chipotle staying on the lips and lighting a small fire in the back of the throat. Awesome. Texture is creamy smooth. For only 6.5 percent this beer has tons of flavor. Overall: RB has it as a spice/herb/veg, mikkeller says a porter, but its very stout like. Great beer no matter what its called. Get some! Now! Thanks Roberto!
