Without doubt the best chili porter I have ever had! It has the aroma of fresh chili and smoke. Thick as hell. The flavor is similar it has a small burn from the chili, but also the fresh chili flavor. User29624 (1683) - - JAN 16, 2011
Pours thick black with a dense dark brown head - looks awesome. Aroma of chipotle that you can smell as soon as you open the bottle. Thick body, flavor of coffee and chocolate. The peppers come through throughout and have a nice bite to them. Well done. Camons (12450) - Hasselager, DENMARK - JAN 20, 2011
Tap @ Fairbar. Pours black with a small ligh brown head leaving lashes on the side of the glass. Aroma of pepper, chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and a hint of smoke. Taste is coffee, chocolate, pepper, brown sugar and a chipotte chili leaving a hot warming bite on your tonque. Full body, soft carbonation, creamy mouthfell. Well done with both good balance and a good chili bite. 200111 gunnar (9096) - Sandnes, NORWAY - FEB 10, 2011
Bottled at Henrik, Bergen. Pours black with a big frothy brown head. Aroma of port, sweet light peated roasted malts, wood and some acidic fragrances as well. Taste is dark bitter malts with a nice chili bite at the end, ends bitter with a mix of alcohol and hot chili burn. Lovely stuff.

I really enjoyed this beer, and I like spicy food and drinks, but I cannot imagine drinking an entire bottle of this myself. The peppers begin to stick in your throat. Otherwise I would have a higher rating.

Bottle shared at Paul and Ryan’s 5,000th rate tasting. Pours near black with a tan head. Roasted malty aroma, with some peppery notes. and smoky coffee notes. The flavor has roasted malts up front, some light sweetness and a burning peppery finish. The heat isn’t too intense, but it’s definitely there. Nice. Big smokey chocolate nose with a little it of burn. Smooth up front, but the chipotle spice catches you on the tail end . Finishes like a black permanent marker. Rusty (1547) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - MAY 29, 2011
Shared by Sparky at RBWG. It’s chuck norris in a bottle, so if I rated it poorly I wouldn’t be alive to rate this. Luckily it poured a dark brown with aroma of spices, coffee and chocolate. Flavor is choco-spices, coffee, and peppers integrate well with the brew. Thanks Eric! SpringsLicker (3641) - Tennessee, USA - JUN 2, 2011
A tall, long lasting tan head rises out of this black bodied brew.
Rich aroma of cocoa, coffee with some smoke.
The flavor follows the aroma with a peppery, slightly hot finish.
Very well done pepper beer! I’ll have another one of these! Sammy (12210) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 9, 2011
A great porter, with imperial stout thickness, chocolate, mollases, spicy peppers in the finish. Complex, carbonation right there. Masterful.
