Bottled. Pitch black coloured. Dense brown head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, grass, light smoke, light liqourice. Flavour of chocolate, roast, brown sugar, chocolate, smoke. Medium to full bodied. Roasty bitterness with a fantastic touch of the chili in the end. Black beers and chili goes well together. Very nice. thewolf (12940) - Kolding, DENMARK - APR 28, 2010

Pours a lovely, almost completely black. Small, frothy, brown head that stays. Aroma has chocolate, soft roasted malts, walnuts, a hint of pepper and soft liqourice. Medium carbonation, fine dry mouthfeel. Very lovely flavour, just how I like it in balance. Fat malt, light roasted, dark chocolate abound, some coffee. Then lots of creeping, soft chili hotness. Long, lingering, dry, roasted, chocolate and hot finish. Lovely.
Without doubt the best chili porter I have ever had! It has the aroma of fresh chili and smoke. Thick as hell. The flavor is similar it has a small burn from the chili, but also the fresh chili flavor. finol (3524) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 9, 2010
Pours black with a realy nice brown head.
Taste of black pepper rather than chili. Also lots of coffe and malts that levels well with the spicyness. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - JUL 9, 2010
Bottle labeled Mikkeller Chipotle Porter. The beer pours dark brown to black with a tan head. The aroma is chipotle peppers, roasted malt and some smoke. The flavor is great. I get roasted malt, chocolate, smoke and pepper with some medium heat. There is a little burn in the flavor which is very nice. Thick mouthfeel and low to medium carbonation.

Pitch black with a huge dark khaki head. Nose is light pepper, chocolate, roasted malts, and a bittersweet overtone. Nice on the palate, flavor is roasted malts upfront, roasted chocolate, faint pepper, big toasty aftertaste with a nice spiciness in the end. big bottle. Pours black with a big brown head. Nose is of chocolate and smoke. Taste starts off with chocolate and ash, then the chili peppers become more and more noticeable over time. Mouthfeel is medium with a dry and spicy finish. Very interesting. yngwie (17284) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 28, 2010
UPDATED: JAN 10, 2011 On tap at KØ-10. It looks lovely in the glass, with it’s black body and brown head. The aroma and flavor is just as gorgeous, and I’m really looking forward to have it again. The aroma has roasted malts, alcohol, licorice, lots of roasted malts and a nice chili touch. The chili leaves a pleasant warmth in the flavor, with coffee and roasted malts as a base, some licorice coming through too. Full-bodied and chili-warming, with chili and roasted malts in the finish. Chili the most evident of those. Ummmm. Rating: 9-5-9-4-17-4.4. 100506deyholla (12588) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUL 30, 2010
Bottle, 75cl. A black one, looking unclear, and topped by a medium sized tan head. Smoked nose with coffee, chocolate, chipotle chili, some sweetness and a touch of peanuts. Rather toasted, smoked flavor with chili, choclate, coffee and a malty sweet backbone. Full-bodied, warming and hot, finishing with roasted malts, coffee and chili. A balanced beer with lots of delicious flavors. Even though I downrated it a bit, it’s still a gorgeous beer, one I need to revisit. 101015
Bottle of Chipotle Porter. Poured black with a lasting deep brown head. Aroma was full of roasted malts with a bit of smokiness and a hint of chipotle, well balanced. Flavor was similar with chocolate and roasted malts in the beginning with growing smokiness and chipotle in the finish. Aftertaste had a bit of a chipotle/jalapeno.
